Tinkers are boring. Make dragons a class

See title. A playable class based around the dragon aspects would be the most entertaining and novel thing for WoW to do with class design. Specs would be based around each of the dragonflights, allowing for variety of playstyles all in one class. It would also not conflict with any professions, such as engineering, like tinker would. A dragon class also wouldn’t conflict with any current class, like necromancers and DK’s. So blizzard, when we eventually go to the dragon isles, let us be dragons.

I’m all for this.

I agree. A tinker would end up playing like a mech hunter.
A dragon aspect would be fun.

i find this boring. already have a few mmorpg’s out on the market where dragons are a class and yes they have dragon blood in them and all that fancy dragon stuff. they are typically warrior classes but one i’ve seen was a magic user but then again that one had a dragon pet and was bound to it kinda like a BM hunter but with dragons

No it should be a system like covenants so you can augment your class with visuals and abilities from the flights. I.e, you can be a monk who follows the bronze dragon flight, giving you access to time related abilities and sandy visuals.

That’s actually pretty brilliant. I doubt Blizzard would be bold enough to do something like this nowadays.

If I could look like Wrathion I would pay so much dang money to do that

Make farmers a class. Let me sow my seed into the bodies of my enemies.

Retry much sums it up. All I can ever do is make a post on the forums every month or so to suggest this and hope my dreams come true.

In NWN you could play as a half dragon. There was a kobold named Deekin who worked for a dragon as a henchman. Eventually he learned he was half dragon, got wings. He was a dual class bard/dragon disciple. Man, I miss deekin…

Dragon disciple/aspect is not a crazy idea. I support this.

I rarely find ideas for classes on the forums worthy of praise but this one gets a total :+1:

Wouldn’t this overlap with druid? 4 aspects–4 play style types…druid. Blue = balance, red = resto, black = guardian, bronze = feral. Not directly the same, but this seems like overlap to me if the purpose is to avoid it.

More into Ooka’s idea:

Would support either being added regardless!

Edit: oh ya, 5 aspects! Not sure what green would be. Coincidentally, the only one that is actually connected to druids…

Dragon class is a dumb idea. Dragons are a race, why ruin dragons by shoving all dragon related potential into a class? Drakonid race is better.

Also Tinkers are a good idea and far from boring with the potential abilities and mechanics that would also be very fun.

I was just coming to this thread to post that Dragons are a species/race… not a class.
You beat me to it.
Curse you! >:Y

How would “dragons” be a class?

I am a goblin dragon?

This sounds like a pretty sweet idea.

No, they are not boring.

That would be cool, maybe another 4 spec class that they refused to do with monk.

Dragons are a race, TC. This isn’t old school D&D where Elf was a class. Heck, “Dragonsworn” are not even a class, they are just people who devote themselves to a Dragon.

That range monk that uses some DBZ Ki blasts would be fun.
