Personally I want a Tinker class because It’s the fantasy from the Warcraft universe I like the most.
Goblin Tinker is my favorite thing. They’re my favorite NPCs.
But I also want to see all the Edgelords cry Sweet, Salty tears.
I’ll use them to power the Hydrogen fuel cells in my giant Mech.
Time is more precious then a few transmog slots. Transmog is cool and all, but I rather have the QOL over simple looks. Practicality is more important then aesthetics.
It’s not my fault they chose the bad class first. Necromancers are superior to death knights. Melee classes are just not nearly as fun as ranged. Plus necromancers actually get to control their undead and not just summon minions that brainlessly do things.
Btw adding a mail class like Engineers…rrr sorry Tinkerers. Would require them to do a mail gear overhaul with stats. Currently it’s only stated for agility they would need to add strength and intellegence to it to fit the specs you propose for the class. That would take way too much time from other designs.
Unless your wanting yet another agility based Tank? Don’t we have enough Agility classes already?
I mean that one actually is untrue.
Necromancers are inferior to death Knights, they are actually your subordinates in Acherus
That’s why DKs are the Hero units.
Just because you don’t like melee doesn’t change that. It makes it inferior to you.
That’s also just Wrong, Shamans use Intelligence mail and have since Vanilla.
They would Have to stat switch some guns, admittedly. But that’s not very hard with Statswitching.
Not really. not at all. Just put some new stats on gear.
You act like that is a quick task. You realize how much gear is in the game. They would have to do that to every single mail piece of gear in the game. Then lots of QA to make sure none of it was missed. There would be more time going into fixing mail gear then any other class has received in class design in the past 4 years.
There is a reason they changed the stats on armors and divided them into types. They once was going to make Paladins be intel based tanks but the stat didnt make sense for tanking or dps. This is why armor works so differently now then it does in classic.
When they made that Change, That was because Intelligence still gave Maximum Mana and Spell Crit.
Of course that doesn’t make sense for a Tank. That would be a Horrible Idea.
Nowadays in WoW’s current Design. Strength, Intelligence, and Agility are all exactly the same.
They aren’t different in any way, except that some classes use one or the other.
An Intelligence tank now, would work exactly like any other tank in the game.
I say that Tinkers should use Intelligence because it’s Thematic, and congruent with Warcraft 3.
