Then ask for a mech suit transmog and be done with it. If sentries are added to the game they should be for engineers.
That doesnât even make sense. Mech Suits are PART of the Tinker class. from Wc3
what class is Mekkatorque? What About Gazlowe? Gallywix? The Felsworn Orcs in HFC?
âIf Sentries are added to the game they should be completely useless outside of PVPâ
Your class abilities are always better.
Engineers xd
Thereâs an Engineer class? Awesome! How do I make one?
Yeah, thatâs what Iâve been hearing a lot lately. Especially with things like the legendary cloak of 8.3, all Iâve heard from engineers lately is how they âlove their very well defined niche in the game.â
Thatâs not the same thing. Thereâs a difference between poor implementation and a bad idea, and Iâm certain there are ways they could make this class a really fun one while still keeping engineering relevant.
Thatâs not what people want.
Do you really think that people, given the option to play a real âengineering classâ would decline because maybe, just maybe, the profession that used to be awesome might one day stop being lackluster again?
And the class itself doesnât have to step on its toes. Engineering and Tinkers can coexist, but the profession is never going to get turrets or bots that work almost as hunter pets because it would be too overpowered.
A tinker would allow for fantasy abilities that engineering could never ever possess for balance reasons. Engineering can never be that powerful or that interesting because people would be forced to go down that route to be optimal. The only way we could ever get that type of actual gameplay is by having a class, not a profession.
Itâs just a graphic.
Doesnât matter if class abilities are better, tech gadgets belong to engineers. They are a supplement to the class.
They could be a supplement to the Tinker class. You know.
You know what. Do me a favor:
Come up with a New gadget for Engineers.
Something you Think should belong specifically on Engineers and NOT on Tinkers.
Iâd rather a handful of classes get an additional spec over a new class entirely
The Two things are not mutually exclusive at all. But I understand this point of view. Iâd love a lot of new specs to be added.
But Tinkers are a Hero from Warcraft 3 that goes painfully unrepresented in WoW.
What does that matter? I donât want a class encroaching on the gadget niche engineering has. We would be much better off with a class that changes gameplay in a meaningful way.
You canât just say âYou donât want itâ Give me an example.
What would be taken from you. You say âTinker would get gadgets that belong on Engineerâ
But what gadgets specifically would go to Tinkers? Because nothing that Tinkers have treads on engineers boots. At all.
I Think a new class with a new Tank spec does change gameplay in a meaningful way.
If you donât think so, then thatâs subjective. But it really doesnât matter to your argument
It doesnât have to be âtakenâ to encroach on what engineering is about. Someone doesnât have to take your job to open up the same business next door and diminish yours.
Your argument is subjective so it doesnât matter.
That is BEYOND petty.
Youâll have your feeling hurt because your profession is overshadowed by people having fun on a new class
Just enjoy your profession that makes gadgets and bombs. Everyone who wants to play tinker will enjoy their missiles, sentries, mech suits, and other firepower.
You Mustâve hated Survival Hunters getting bombs, It diminished the fun of being an engineer.
Youâll still have your Niche. But thatâs all it will be, a Niche profession. Itâs not a class. And Tinkers SHOULD be a class. Thatâs more in line with WC3.
I promise youâll still be able to be a Lone Wolf Hunter that uses engineering bombs in PvP. None of that will go anywhere.
Feelings are irrelevant. A tinker doesnât bring anything ground breaking to the game AND at the same time encroaches on existing paradigms. At least if it was only one or the other it wouldnât be a doubly awful idea.
The current implementation of survival hunter is abhorrent all around, what a perfectly sad example.
Anything New will encroach on existing paradigms Unless you want a class that doesnât tank, heal, or do damage.
Survival hunter is fun. I love it. And It doesnât encroach on engineers just because it has a bomb.
Youâll note. When Survival hunter came to be in legion. Engineering didnât suddenly lose any bombs or gadgets. Factual evidence.
It shouldnât have come at the cost of old survival.
No, those are ârolesâ, not classes.
I hate new survival.
But it didnât encroach on engineering.
And some people like it. Myself included.
Tinker would be pretty similar.
Except you just might like it. God forbid you wanna play a class that uses bombs and sentries. It seems like you do.
Melee hunter is terrible because it took away one of the options I rolled the class for (pure ranged dps) and at the same time splits class development into considering both ranged and melee. All resources should be focused on making it the best pure ranged physical class possible, which they have already struggled with constantly.
The majority of hunters that are actually happy with the state of the class are the people who rolled it for a reason it was never intended to be. And donât even bring up âmelee hunters in vanillaâ. I was there, I played survival, and even with all of the melee abilities you were still better at range vs every class/spec combination EXCEPT for another hunter not specced deep survival.
That is why I hate it.
Inb4 lolr3xxrawr lore queen citations
Itâs bad because YOU donât like it? It removed some of the fantasy YOU liked
I Like Melee hunter, we got back hunter abilities from Vanilla. Itâs awesome.
Hate it as MUCH as you want, but some people love it. I Think itâs a super fun spec, once you have a ton of haste.
Iâm sorry you dislike so much. But itâs the same argument with tinker.
It wouldnât encroach on engineering, It wouldnât prevent you from playing a Ranged hunter that uses engineering. You could continue exactly as you do now. And no harm would come to you just because people are enjoying a new class.
If YOU donât like it. thatâs fine. but other people will.
If it ruins your fun to know that they can use explosives too, then I donât know what to tell you other than âGet Thicker Skinâ
Who cares? Lol. You think people care what you like? You are in here trying to take a position of authority spouting your opinions but when I state mine you pull a âwell thatâs just your opinion hurr durrâ. What a joke.
