Aoe could be a bunch of sentry bots running to the enemy and exploding
Single target could be a turret that follows you around like a warlock pet that attacks at range or a mini robot that attacks in melee defensive could be armor plate skill from battle pets big spender could be a missile launcher or something could use basic attacks to build up electric charges or something to spend on big attacks like arcane grenades or healing grenades non spender healing attacks could be via healbots that spray healing mist on allies etc I like this idea alot and I think it would be nice, they could make it an exclusive class to goblins and gnomes although not everyone would like that, lore could be that mechagnomes brought their tech over and goblins stole it or whatever.
Okay so hear me out, i know this is probably wild (not mention could be hell in practice) but the Tank form also has a melee bot alongside with the Mech suit form. And the pet also tanks, as I’m saying this it would be hell to try and tank, and have a pet YOU control also tank another group, but if done well (mostly on the player side of things) it could be a really powerful tanking tool, however it could be done by sacrificing single target tankiness, since you obviously couldn’t have the player be as tanky as a standard tank, AND have a pet tank that also is fairly tanky.
Fun, you play games for fun.
It wouldn’t be that hard to do, I’ve actually thought about this before as a tank spec for hunter.
All damage and healing either you or your pet receive is split with the other of you, and all aoe damage and healing effects that affect both of you are reduced by 50%, and you and your pet share a cooldown on your taunt abilities. We’re trying to embrace the idea of a tank that has a pet and is two entities without making them literally two tanks in one character, and thus trivializing content that requires two different tanks and tank swapping.
While i 100% agree with this, but i do have to say for some reason maxing out or hitting the ceiling of a game has this reaction that makes things feel as if they “arent worth doing” which is funny since i mean you’re playing a game, not working. But i think its due to how society wants us to be making progress on everything that we do that it carries over to gameplay, part of the reason why the mmo model works so well is that endless chase of progression that has been ground into our brains.
But i do have to say, friends also make the game tons of fun, and no matter where i am in power progression, im more than happy to just have a blast with friends and kick butt with whatever dungeon, raid or WQ they want to do!
I Find character progression to be fun. I consider it the backbone of RPGs.
Basically this. The Secret Ingredient to enjoying any MMO is friends.
The secret ingredient to enjoying ANYTHING is friends.
…unless an activity is inherently a single person thing, like… reading a book or something, and even then sometimes.
DUSK is a great example of one of the best Single Player experiences I’ve ever had, and I still made sure to share it with my friends. So I feel ya.
I wouldn’t put that past Blizzard or anything. But I’d argue that wouldn’t be fair.
We’ve seen Orcs and Dwarves with an abundance of Technology. Plenty of other races too.
I would personally like Vulpera, but that’s just me.
Tinker would be the perfect fit to current WoW. 1 more mail user, new range class and they should use a bow/gun so hunter is not the only one.
It’s kinda absurd there’s 3 entire weapon classes that are only used by 2 specs of 1 class.
Talk about a waste of assets.
Same thing with those Player-sized Mech suits from BFA.
