Reading through posts, the tinker fantasy already exists in the form of GW2 Engineer.

But that’s GW2. This is WoW. That mention can be made all day, but that’s an entirely different game. Yes, the fantasy exists elsewhere, but that doesn’t mean that other games can’t have their own embodiment of the class.

for what it is worth

WoW stole world quests, world tagging, M+, epic bgs, arena, etc from GW2

and unfortunately did it better than GW2, blizzard is notorious for stealing stuff yes… but they are also notorious for stealing it and doing it better

hence why nobody plays GW2 anymore, it has turned into a mobile game cash shop, it is so bloated, can’t wait till GW3 tho

Also , the tinker/engineer spec on GW2 rocks, super fun, very interactive, holosmith rocks.

Tbh I been playing GW2 a bit lately. Ground mounts having physics the riding feels SOOO good, better than WoW imo

Maybe they’re trying to achieve this with DRIVE going into 11.1.

Well then, when Blizz does implement tinkers they might as well finally give us the Saberon as a playable race to mimic the Charr and make it a double whammy. I’d be more than pleased :joy: :man_shrugging:.

Nah M+ is its own thing. The reason fractals exist is because ANet admitted that the dungeon code is sphagetti and its very difficult to untangle so they’ve basically left it alone.

I’ll be completely honest.

If GW2 had native controller support(yes, I am aware that you can play with a Controller with a janky setup through Steam. it’s the principle for me), I would not be playing WoW right now, I don’t think. I’d be full-time in GW2.

GW2 is pretty dope, but I play on a controller as well which is why I’m here lol.

Hopefully they add controller support.

Kinda insane it doesn’t when you look at its combat which I find very engaging.

If New World can implement it no excuse for Anet not delivering.

Step 1. Be a Mechagnome Step 2. use an ex0-suit mount, step 3. become a Hunter with tame mechanicals, step 4. take up engineering, step 5. Tinker

I know dragon riding was a direct lift form GW2. But I dont get the rest of your list.

Epic BGs and arena in WoW predate GW2 by like half a decade.
