was curious if this was a bug or intended but tonight during raid he dropped three items no tier token?

Yep, raid loot is totally randomized so you might get a token, you might not. You might get 2 tokens, you might get something nobody can even use. Frustrating but it is what it is.
Just thought if a boss has a token on the table one always dropped. Never seen one not drop off a boss that has one in the loot table.
Just confused the raid guild so thought I’d ask.
It’s not totally randomized in that regard as tier to non tier is a 1:3 ratio. However, to guarantee 3 loot drops and 1 tier token, you need at least 20 players in the raid. If you only have 19, you have a 95% chance at 1 tier token and an 85% chance at a third piece of loot. You can see the chart on wowhead.
Well…that explains it and that seems kind of borked.
Well, I’m sure it doesn’t please you, but it looks like the developers meant it to be that way. I’m sure you’ve figured out by now that they’re not afraid of making players unhappy.
Nah I got it I just thought they had tier on a different wave length where one would always drop off the boss that had one so at least someone gets one. First time I seen it not drop in the last 3 expansions. XD
