This is a pretty niche problem that is encountered on these 2 bosses specifically. Many bug reports have been submitted over the entire existence of this raid tier(November 2023) about this issue.
Essentially, sometimes the bosses will not leave global combat and upon wiping, will prevent anyone from releasing, thus maintaining “an encounter in progress.” Work arounds for this have been determined as “always have a soulstone on someone” or “have a shaman never use Reincarnation” as the character can pop up and die again, attempting to trigger the reset of the boss again.
As many may have guessed, this is now an issue for my team as our tank was trying to test out some Weakauras on the boss before raid and triggered the bug. We have now sat outside the instance for 45 minutes waiting for the “30-60 minute soft reset” on dungeon and raid instances. Still, nothing has changed.
Is there any chance with CC visibility this problem can be looked at by Devs? It could potentially be a new bug with any boss going forward and feel like it should be looked at in some capacity. Obviously, there’s nothing that can be done immediately to help myself, but at the end of the day this is an attempt to prevent further gameplay disruptions of other players.
