Timewalking...arbitrary availability?

Weird one even for me.

Anyone run into an issue where some of their characters can queue for TW and others cannot?

My example. A 65 lock alt. Can queue. A 62 Evoker alt. Queue doesn’t exist for TW.

So, yes to all of these:

  • Relaunched game
  • Gone through at least 1 daily reset
  • Checked other Evoker alts and they are fine
  • Checked other alts and found a hunter who cannot see the queue either

Is there not an NPC you can use to queue? I know there used to be one?

There could be a min ilvl you need to queue.

Above ilvl250…should have put that in there. Way above the 180 min requirement.

I’ve heard that Evokers can take a day or two to queue for Timewalking after you make them. Same with characters you boosted.

The “day” has passed. But the “two” hasn’t quite done it. I was under the impression it was 24hours (official post on that somewhere), but not “up to” 48.

I’ll check that

I noticed my level 60 warlock can’t queue, but other alts I did stuff in SL with could. There should not be an ilvl block, imo.

Agree. though if you do a few Dragonflight WQs for 226’s it’s easy to get over the 180 required.

The 226 tokens can still be bought in Zereith Mortis for anima also

Fortunately, I think it’s just my warlock I’m having to do stuff, on. I did the elemental invasions and bought stuff on my other alts.

I could also possibly craft some stuff if I train some DF tailoring for my lock. Still, they don’t indicate on the UI anywhere that I saw that there’s an ilvl restriction like for LFR or heroic LFG, they really should put an in-game indication. Not everyone goes to the forums or third party resources to figure out such things, they might just give up or be annoyed. More information readily available to players is generally a good idea.

It also is silly to have an ilvl restriction at all or at least set so high, given that everything’s squished below the ilvl you’re wearing, assuming you’re wearing something like at least 90 ilvl for the Cataclysm event. If you’re above the ilvl it squishes you to for the TW event, and high enough character level, you should be allowed to queue. I basically skipped BfA on the warlock entirely, and barely did a little SL before DF came out then shelved him until potentially today.
