I would like to get a dragonhawk mount for my blood elf. It seems the easiest way to do this would be to collect the currency from timewalking dungeons. However I’ve never done timewalking dungeons. The ability to select that type of dungeon is not available to me. How can I unlock them?
It’s a micro holiday that occurs about every month or so and lasts about a week. Check your in-game calendar for when the next one is.

Ah, the Eclipsion Dragonhawk from Burning Crusade time walking. It costs 5,000 time warped badges, so while you -can- get it in a single week, it’s gonna take a loooooooong and dedicated effort. I save mine up over months.
Another easy Dragonhawk Mount to get is the Red Dragonhawk. Probably the easiest here. It’s a reward for collecting 100 mounts. Which is very easy to do in this day and age.
There are a number of others. Two are Alliance exclusive. Sunreaver Dragonhawk comes from the Argent Tournament for 150 Champion’s seals. The Armored Dragonhawks come from collecting 200 mounts. And the very rare Amani Dragonhawk comes from the TCG. That’s my one. Gets rarer with each passing year.

It’s easy to accumulate 100 mounts?? How? I don’t really mind taking some time to save the timewalking currency. I will check the calendar. During that time who do I go to to start?
It’s a turtle weekly in dazar alor and you queue for the dungeons from dungeon finder tool!
It is indeed. It’s easy enough to get fifty Mounts just by buying all of the basic racial mounts. The Hawkstriders, the Kodos, the Pandaren Turtles. Get all the colored Wyvern Mounts too. The rest are pretty easily scraped together from reputation sources. Nether Drakes, Talbuks, Argus Mounts. All of these are purchasable. Combine that with some guaranteed Mount Drops from Malygos, Obsidian Sanctum and the Bronze Drake and you should be golden.
A couple of other notably easy ones:
- Coalfist Gronnling (~400g on the auction house)
- Garn Nighthowl (~700g on the auction house)
- The seahorse from the Vashj’ir questline
- Hearthsteed (win 3 games of Hearthstone on the same account)
- Lucid Nightmare (lots of puzzles, but the solutions are all online)
- All the Mei Francis mounts from old Dalaran (the bear, the mammoth, etc)
- Golden King (Exalted with your guild, then from the guild vendors)

They’d still have to do Endless Halls for that which was 4 hours for me and I was apparently lucky.
You can also get more mounts from the Argent Tourney. Takes a little bit, but it’s not like you have anything else to do in the game.
Pretty sure ZA guarantees a bear mount now.
Also, plenty of warfront mounts.
