TimeWalking Ulduar Bug: Kologarn

Just wondering if Kologarn is bugged on Ulduar TimeWalking. While fighting him in a group with 11 people he picks up 3. That’s nearly half our DPS. Then, all three people die in about 4 seconds or so, even if they are full health. Finally, losing so much DPS makes it impossible to do the required damage in time.

Am I missing something here?

There are some that have reported issues with TW Ulduar, so that may very well be one.

I can confirm that it’s still bugged as of March 2019. We had 3 of our group of 11 grabbed each time. We were able to break out the first group because of hero but then we wiped.

Just now our raid group of 12 experienced the same.

An ENTIRE BLIPPING YEAR later, and this is still an issue.

It is an eternal problem of scaling with integers, where do you put the breakpoints.

In the original fight he picked up 2 in 10 man, and 6 in 25 man. With a scaled fight, at some point between 10 and 25 it has to raise to 3, then 4, then 5, then 6.

It looks like they have chosen to do it the “hard” way and round up, so for 11 he wants to pick up 2.27 people and they round it to 3. It unfortunately makes 11 a tough number to do the fight with. I would guess 14, 18 and 22 are relatively hard also as they will be the smallest teams where he picks up 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

This is a design choice, not a bug exactly. That they haven’t changed it yet means they are probably happy with the number of teams that are still managing to complete the fight. I would recommend not going in with 11 - aim for 13 if possible.
