hero pieces come from the mythic dungeon weekly or timewalking raid weekly

TW caches are only Heroic during Turbulent Timeways.

no it doesn’t. why do you expect anything meaningful from timewalking? get gear like a normal person.
I’ve found the TWing weekly rewards heroic gear towards the back half of the season.
If turbulent timeways is happening at that time I hadn’t pay much attention.
This isn’t a surprise. We’re not in the later half of the season nor is TT back up. TWing caches are always normal raid quaity otherwise.
And for the amount of effort TWing dungeons are, that’s already pretty generous…though I suppose it is more time effort (not skill expression effort) than a t8 delve with a coffer key.
It used to be heroic in BfA. I’m not sure exactly when they changed it. But it has not always been normal.

No, Timewalking has always been normal.
You’re probably thinking of the Against Overwhelming Odds alliance warmode quest.
I don’t remember what the weekly cache gave way back when or if there even was one. But the gear drops from bosses was much higher than what we get now. They also revamped ilevels from stuff, so it’s a little different because of that, too.
The direct dungeon drops have pretty much always been low enough that I don’t care about it.
But the weekly cache is basically always an item from the current raid on normal (except during turbulent timeways)
probably a cloak too.
Not actually possible, since it’s the normal Manaforge Omega loot table without the tier.

Nope. Not thinking about that at all. I’m just remembering the surprise, disappointment, and outrage when it was changed. You probably weren’t outraged at the time. A lot of players were.
It was never heroic outside of turbulent timeways
