I was just removed from a group and somehow I got the deserter debuff… What the what!?!
I see many others with this issue, going back to 2018… DO YOUR JOBS AND FIX IT!
FOR REAL… FIX THIS NOW!

This isn’t a bug report considering it’s working literally as intended.

It’s intentionally there. So they are doing their jobs. Stop being bad.
That doesn’t always mean being bad. Life happens 
Just because you don’t have one, doesn’t mean that others do not 
As someone that likes the system but thinks it needs improvements, an entire group can collectively decide to kick someone just cause, and you get a deserter, especially if its a group the qued together.
See what happens when you think about it before responding!?
I’m confused how a level 23 mage would know/understand this. Maybe an alt and doesn’t want to show their main?
The pain has been felt, as I’ve been there before. Groups now a days will kick you for looking at them funny. I mean I mentioned a faster way to clear a dungeon, no cussing, no insults, was super nice. Kicked because “I’m not the tank”. You’re going to get preformed groups, people that push a kick for no reason, and others that hit accept for no reason.
This will continue to be an issue until Blizzard decides to fix it, and given the history, it most likely won’t be.
It’s a sad truth, but a truth none the less.
Married 3 kids a cat. Been playing wow since vanilla. I can 100 percent say almost all of the threads about deserter for being kicked are deserved. Trying to make excuses and tell others they dont have a life doesn’t change anything about you mate. Enough with your posting from an alt so therefore your opinion is not valid. We get it your argument is trash. Again stop being trash maybe you stop getting kicked.
Then with someone with kids, you should know the struggle, or you leave your partner with everything and… well… thats just bad parenting. Seriously, all you have to do is think before hand, and feel free to prove any of this. It’s the internet, I’m not taking what you say at face value XD.

Pointed out pre-formed groups, the fact people with hit accept on almost anything without reading it, I know I’ve ran into my fair share. Playing since Vanilla? Lets chat about the hard times and how a video game in the early 2 thousands has you so triggered, you lose your mind on a forum post. This is for people to chat, not for you to stroke your non-existent ego. Feel free to add me and talk smack that way, let us talk about actual issues.
I didn’t get to @ the end of this. Who said that ~I~ was the one getting kicked. I just said I’ve ran into my fair share. I was wrong, I’m sorry. That’s three times now you’ve put something into the universe before gathering the facts.

Blizzard doesn’t have a way of telling who deserved deserter debuff and who were kicked out by trolls and they aren’t going to hire extra people to monitor troll kickings. So everyone gets 30 minutes deserter debuff.
If you didn’t do anything to deserve it (stayed with the tank, no extra pull, no weird chat, etc), not much you can do about it. If you do remember the player and server name, you can add them to ignore list and you won’t see the player in future random queue. Or the player said something in the chat, click the name and add to ignore
