When are we getting Timewalking raids for MoP, WoD and Legion?
I’d rather see them come back as Fated raids at the end of an expansion, tbh.
As expansions get closer and closer to ‘modern’ WoW, it probably gets harder and harder for them to bring back old raids for timewalking because of stuff like trinkets. Something like the Rune of Re-Origination had to have a level cap placed on it to stop players from using it forever; if that came back via timewalking they’d have to just completely change the effect to prevent the same thing from occurring again, because they surely won’t go to the trouble of level-capping it again for each new expansion.
Looks at Timewalking Firelands
Looks at the trinkets that were busted at Dragonflight ilvl getting slammed with nerfs.
Huh. I think they might have learned the lesson a little bit since the last time.
They don’t use end of xpac raids like SoO though. If they followed the same pattern of using the second to last raid it would be Throne of Thunder, Blackrock Foundry and Tomb of Sargeras.
We’ll get those as soon as we get BFA Timewalking, which looks like never at this point.
Do we really need Timewalking for BFA and even Legion? We’re actively existing in the era that those expansions brought about.
They are part of the modern Warcraft landscape.
They have their Timewalking week. We can do the dungeons, why not add the raids in as well? Seems weird to not have them and honestly throne of thunder was a great raid.
Throne of Thunder is MoP, though. And was great. And should be a Timewalking raid.
Looking for a specific date? There’s been nothing announced so no one here knows.
I made no mention of specific raids, only the loot that’s in some of them. Notably, RoO from my example drops in Throne of Thunder, which you mention as being the raid that’s ‘likely to return’ if more timewalking raids are added to the game.
For some reason I thought RoO dropped from SoO. Think I got it confused with assurance of consequence.
