When you run Timewalking Raid on Normal do you still get champion gear and hero gear for the final quest reward or do you have to be in Heroic Mode for the Raid.

There are no separate difficulties of a Timewalking raid. I haven’t run one this season to know the ilevels, though.
Pretty sure Timewalking Raids only have one difficulty setting and the loot is close to Normal mode of the current raid tier. Maybe it’s LFR ilvl? I don’t know, I haven’t done a Timewalking Raid in a long time.

A guildie who went in to the WotLK TW raid got a Champion piece from it. That’s all I know at this point.
Loot is champion track, and the specific raid quest gives a hero track piece

Champion (normal raid) loot from bosses. Quest to kill the final boss (ilidan for TBC TW, Yogg for Wrath TW and Rag for Cata TW) gives a hero track piece from ANY source in the timewalking raid OR any of the bosses that appeared in the 15th anniversary event that gave the worldbreaker mount. Respective to that expansion obviously.
Which are Kael’thas, Vashj and Archimonde (mount hyjal) for TBC. Heigan, Lich King and Anub’Arak for Wrath. Cho’gall and Madness of Deathwing for Cata (Ragnaros was the 3rd for Cata but he is already included in the possible loot pool by default).
You also have a chance to get any mount or battle pet that drops from any instance from those respective expansions. Although I don’t think anyone has recorded getting any dungeon mounts from Wrath or Cata timewalking yet. But they have from TBC so /shrug.
For example I got the Void Reaver pet from TBC timewalking and the Al’akir pet from Firelands timewalking. Even though neither of those bosses are part of the end of quest box’s loot table for their respective versions. I got invincible from wrath timewalking though.

Thanks for the replies, Just what I wanted to hear. Timewalking is always fun and brings back good memories.
The heroic quest reward is pretty neat. Not sure what all is on the loot table, but it gave me the Twilight’s Hammer from BoT.
Can you only do the TW quest with the chest once per TW per character? Does anyone know how that works?
I’m just irritated that I get declined to play in one, get invite to one but RL freaks out people who Q in tank OS don’t swap fast enough and kicks ALL plate wearers from the group, or the group only kills the bird boss for a pet?
It was a really irritating day…just went back to dungeons at that point…

I tried out my first one on Tuesday on my Hunter, and did another on my Evoker yesterday, had no trouble getting in luckily, but the Raid Leader Disconnected after the bird both times and didn’t come back either time lol. My suspicion is the pet.

I’ve never been kicked from a TW raid but I can see this happening. When I did BT for warglaive transmog, the group was cram-packed with DHs, so your odds of getting any leather drops were slim.
Yeah, it’s the person who made the groups choice to kick out the competition, shady as it is.
No the RL was an evoker lol
