I have completed the timewalking event on three different characters. When I review my vault for each character only one received credit for 5 dungeons. One received credit for only 4, and the third only received credit for 3. I’m not sure why some did not count. I’m selecting random timewalking dungeons.
If you ran Temple of the Jade Seprent and skipped the library boss like the vast majority of groups do, that’s why. The quest completes by just killing the final boss, but for the vault all bosses need to die.
