Timewalking changes failed

Glad too see that you guys did nothing about 11 Fury Warriors demolishing the TW dungeons like its nothing, completely negating the whole point of the changes to make them better for leveling specs to learn their rotations and spells, with higher enemy and boss uptime.

Very first TW dungeon i do on the week, 11 Fury tank killing everything and outdamaging people with Mythic Gear, amazing Blizzard.

No, it succeeded…as in no one actually wanted a harder TW mode. TW is NOT M+ 10. Nor should it be. Its fast easy sweep content of old dungeons we’ve ran for 100+ times now for minimal rewards/leveling alts.

As for why they do that - look at your lvl(80) and look at how many class skills you got. Now go make a lvl 11 fury warrior and look at how many skills they got - next to nothing. So they have to be able to contribute by doing good dps with their very bad starting abilities or they would be kicked for having next to no damage.

I do, and that was the intention behind TW before they nerfed it into the ground, was to be harder to give people a chance to run older dungeons that they may have missed or still enjoy doing.

Remember when TW was limited to a certain level? I do. Back then they would not even let level 11 players come in, it was a null issue at one point.

Im not asking for 10+ pal.

But being basically useless cause some dude can just spam Whirlwind while pulling half the dungeon makes me question why i should bother doing anything but toggle follow on the guy and afk the entire dungeon.

TW are such a joke that theyre boring, i mean, casters have it the worst, not being able to do anything at all besides spamming a dot at most.

Twinks are just strong dps now, I don’t know what you’re doing if you can’t keep up. Bosses take 30 seconds or so, plenty of time to get there and push ten or twenty buttons. Not to mention you’re not going to have a twink or geared 80 every run.

Just how long is it you want these to last

I did. So that’s incorrect.

I didn’t need it to be Mythic levels of difficulty. Just not a complete mindless roflstomp.

Dear Blizzard: Please keep ignoring everyone complaining about the level 11 fury warriors. No really, their ideas about what the game should be do not align with how most people feel and if they really wanted a different experience they could make their own groups for it.

Are players saying they want more difficulty, so they can spend around 20 minutes in a dungeon just to get a level? While they could breeze through it, and get thier one level then move to the next.

I thought poeple wanted to speed up leveling, and not make it a chore again?

Yes they have been. That’s why we have this change. Nerfed geared people to slow them down.

Maybe Blizzard should take the Dastardly Duos approach, and have players gear drop to the item level of the dungeon gear.

Then everyone will be at same level of damage as the content they’re in.

That’s basically what they have done. Kind of the reverse to hide it. Boss health increases with gear

The issue is with dps and how it scales. I just finished TW, and thought I would see the difficulty. However, the warriors that I had were just mowing everything down.

Everyone else just kept moving to keep up. Yet, no one told them to slow down, so they could practice thier rotation.

I haven’t had any moving as fast as before the changes where literally all I was doing was running to keep up. They aren’t a lot slower but they’re enough slower to make it more fun again.

Just go to DF and Quest. I can level to 70 in a day without even reaching the last story arc. If you need a level that badly without feeling like twinks are ruining your gameplay theres other content.

I have yet to see a level 11 in any of my BFA groups yet.

What failed were all the ‘but my experience isn’t what I remember’ or ‘but I want to get full rotations in on every trash mob to practice because I’m too stupid to learn my class any other way’ or ‘some random player who was lower level / lower geared out damaged me’ whining.

Personally, I’d like to see them return TW to what it was several expansions ago - everyone and all gear scaled down to a set ilevel, minimum level 30, old gear sets and stuff like old legendaries usable, with moderate tunning.

But this is what we get when Blizzard wants to use their lazy ‘turn one magic nob and the content will scale for everyone using any gear / more HP = more difficult’ scaling system.

It’s still barely even on heroic dungeon level. Why are people still pulling this “iT’s nOT MYtHIc+” hyperbole out of the hat?

It’s also been less than a week of their first introduction of BfA dungeons in TW. Tuning will come. Stop hyperventilating about how hard TW is.

I don’t think they ‘failed’ at all. TW finally got rebalanced to something more appropriate for S2, which is likewise still appropriate for something that can be queued into. Overall it’s still not very challenging, but it was never going to be both because heroics aren’t very challenging, and because any content that level scales is going to be further trivialized by that content favoring lower-level characters.
