Why is it I am experience long wait times on my rogue who’s Alliance, but when I’m on my hunter, same faction, the wait times are less. I once waited over an hour to do one timewalking dungeon on my rogue compared to my hunter.
Matchmaking is contingent on other players also queuing but also filling specific roles.
DPS are far and away the vast majority of the playerbase, tanks and healers are in short supply. Nine times out of ten they’re already in a dungeon and the system can’t matchmake you into one without all roles filled.
Faction balance is also heavily realm-agnostic. Without knowing your realm/s, your description suggests the rogue is on a horde-heavy realm while the hunter is not.
I know what you mean. I can be spamming dungeons on one dps with low wait times. Switch to another and end up having no queue pop for an hour. Switch to a different dps and have 5 minute queues again, and switch back to the one with the issue and im back to hour long waits. It happens almost every Timewalking where there’s one toon who just never has the dungeon que happen.
Both are on Moon Guard realm and both are the same Faction, Alliance.
There’s been a bug report thread about this since 2023. Certain characters the queue just never seems to pop or takes a ridiculously long time. I wouldn’t hold your breath on Blizz addressing it any time soon.
I also noticed if i que with a friend or guildee that the wait time as double dps will always be over an hour. If i que alone as dps its about 8 mins to get in. On my tank its almost always less than a min no matter if i que alone or with others and if i que on a healer its less than 4 mins usually.
Time of day and luck.
