Once the event is over you will be given the option to bring toons over to live.
If there’s another option I hope its to place your toon in Cryogenic Storage to wait for Legion Remix, your toon would have to start at level 1 but you get to keep name, achieves, rep, and bronze you have left over.
Or maybe Cataclysm will be next, who knows.
Actually they already said all toons you make during the event get turned into live game characters when the event ends, no optional choice invovled
That would be going backwards given Mists was after Cata, if anything we’d maybe see warlords remix next if not legion or BFA remix
Why cant we just do remix with a gearless level 1 version of our mains? They could say a wizard cursed us or Chromie split our toons in two and the weaker half has to do remix to get joined with main again or something.
Maybe next remix will have currency called “aluminum” then “iron”
No, characters transfer over at the end of Remix. My assumption is that the gear we get after moving to Retail is going to be scaled for the pre-patch event, so right now it would be a bit too much of a boost.
Either way, I don’t personally mind. If I want an RP character I can just make an alt with a different name and level them to 10 to mog, and frankly there’s way more content in Remix right now than there is in the main game - at least content that actually interests me.

I agree. Blizz will compensate the Remix Time runner character with gear nearly at the new expansion level. Or maybe at DF level for a 70.
I assume that there wont be an option, the hourglass icon next to their name will just be taken away and a full set of boostie boy gear will be put on the character and the event gear/bronze/gems will just disappear from your character.
I’d play this. warlords had excellent leveling content.
