Timer on raid boss

please add mythic+ like system to raid bosses, like kill before enrage means the team timed raid boss and get say 4 loot, kill after enrage means you did not time the boss and boss drop 3 loot, while if you kill enrage timer minus say 2 minute means your raid +2 timed this boss and boss will drop 5 loot, if you killed boss before enrage time minus 4 minutes means you plus 3 this boss and boss will drop 6 loot

How would this work for bosses that don’t have the regular style enrages (aka boss gets big buff) where you get overwhelmed with aoe damage until you die or the boss dies, like Inerva or Denathrius? Or bosses that just instantly 1 shot you if you don’t meet the enrage timer, such as Stormwall Blockade back in Battle for Dazar’alor, or Il’gynoth in the Emerald Nightmare (these also go through immunities).

They should just bring back Master Loot with a flat drop amount each kill.

Every boss has a Berserk. You may not survive long enough to reach it because of … whatever, but every boss has a Berserk timer coded in somewhere.

kill before enrage means the team timed raid boss and get say 4 loot, kill after enrage means you did not time the boss and boss drop 3 loot

Right now if you kill the boss after they hit Berserk (which can certainly happen on progression fights), they die and drop the full loot anyway. Chances are, unless you’re super close, the Berserk will kill you pretty quickly anywho. So this part is pretty irrelevant. I don’t really see much point in the extra loot thing - many bosses are designed such that you can’t really speed up the fight significantly (e.g. it’s about surviving through 2 sets of X timed phases), or where if you speed up the fight at all, it’s in massive swings (e.g. skip one count of a phase, or skip a mechanic and transition to the next phase, so you swing by 2 minutes).

Also, you’re rarely far ahead when you’re doing progression. So any “extra loot” would only come into play once you’re on farm and vastly outgear the place, at which point you don’t typically need the gear for that fight anyway. Sure, you can use it for future fights, but that’s not really about whether X fight should be cheesed for more gear, that’s about whether Y raid has adequate loot drops in general, or Z fight is an appropriate gearcheck.

Maybe scale dmg/health + time + and some random stuff (mimic affix), and the gear ilvl also becomes dynamic like m+?

Thanks for saying something I already knew… Reading isn’t one of your strongest areas I see.

I was mainly asking how would the OP’s suggestion work with bosses that kill you instantly instead of just getting a big buff and simply running around killing people one by one.
