How many years will we be in the future after the Shadowlands expansion is over.
I say we’re flung 200 years plus into the future with a completely new Azeroth.

Yes please. I’d like mine where factions don’t exist and you can quest everywhere across Azeroth if you choose to do so.
…you can now bc of SL, very few zones are strictly horde or alliance, unless leveling up a tauren in loch modan suits your fancy
That’s a mighty big speculation you got there. I thought no one knew how much time would have been in Azeroth while we’re in shadowlands. But the bigger question is, what would Azeroth the planet look like? I hope it’s a better revamp than Cata was.
Didn’t they say time moves slow in the Shadowlands while time on Azeroth is quick.
I say a short time, see what damage Turalyon and Alleria make, so Anduin makes his final character progression into a strong King as he takes Turalyon down, and starts to fix the situation but it’s too late as the Alliance folk start revolting and we lead into a light v. void expansion detailing a long war.
They did say that, but not how big of a time dilation there is between the two realms. Maybe it’s few months, maybe a millennia, no one knows.
It needs to be long and deep into the future for a fresh new slate.
I can’t say I disagree with that.
Uhhhh. You know all of the Warcraft lore that we’ve played including Warcrafts 1, 2, and 3 are only like 30-35 years? 200 years in the future would be sooooooooo much happening. Especially without the “hero of Azeroth” to help magically defeat old gods and titans on the daily.
Yeah but that in between time would be a peaceful rebuild era for both Alliance and Horde with new lore and threats looming to both factions.
WOW needs a restart without losing your characters and this would give them a fresh new start on story telling.
You think the horde and Alliance are just going to hold hands after THIS expansion? Nawwwwhhhh. This war ain’t ever going to end.
Especially imagine all the new threats we get and limited land for expansion.
oh a dev clarified in Q&A about the time bieng different in SL thingy sadly itsnt a major time skip or anything
I thought it was the other way around? Anduin and Co. get kidnapped and we go straight through to rescue them and once we find them they talk about having been there for months already.
It’s the vice versa. Someone already replied this, but I’m gonna say it again. When we go in and come out at the end of the Shadowlands Xpac, it’ll most likely be very soon after we entered. For us, it will feel like a year (in game), but I’d go to say it’ll only be like a month or so (also in game). But, because of this, I’m confused on how a new “world-ending threat” will happen on Azeroth.
It’ll probably follow us back.
That or N’zoth will pop back up like “PSYCH, I was just faking, and now I’ve had a whole month to recover and gather power and why do you people look so much stronger?”
this would suck big time. But if they did this we know that Wow sub numbers is really low. Only low player games do this method.
I don’t think there will be any time skip at all.
I think the Blizzard developers mistakenly implied that there may be a time skip.
What they meant to say was that, from a long-dead character’s perspective, they’ve only just arrived.
Meanwhile, a freshly-dead character may have experienced the Shadowlands for eons, from their perspective.

It’s like you read my mind.
would be interesting to show up during the middle of a Zerg invasion.
