By comparison, my Warlock with 220sp CoA vs SW:P deals 140dmg less and it has a massive ramp up timer.
Blackout is like giving Fire Warlocks a 42 yard ranged stun on Immolates first cast on a target.
Shadow Ward doesn’t scale at all
Shadow Priests have the same mitigation in Shadow Form, vs out Meta form, however Metamorphosis costs 2/3rds of our Manapool making it impossible to use in a pinch whereas Priests don’t suffer this at all.
I just dont get why the SoD devs are so hesitant to buff Locks in the slightest. I understand we’re doing good in “Ranged tunnel fights” shudders but nothing aside from summons, health stones and Water Breathing without a reagent makes us stand out or compare to the raw dmg other classes can put forward with 1/2 the setup and offer more utility.

your searing pain in meta crits for 500. same as SW:d with no CD. 4 searing pain and you kill someone.

Maybe because locks are both the 4th best dps and the best tank in SoD Phase 2?

Implying you crit with EVERY SINGLE SEARING PAIN cast, thats a tall order considering NO ONE takes imp Searing Pain. Try harder please.
then you are playing lock wrong.
Even if you wear the minus stamina DPS gear from gnomer you still arent hitting 500 dmg searing pains. Stop the cap.
Searing pain, WITH incinerate buff hits for around 300-350 with spellpower gear.
Incase you didn’t know btw, casters cannot wear pure spellpower gear in pvp. We have to wear stamina gear with no SP on it which drastically lowers our dmg because without it we get oneshot by everything. (yes even in meta)

You are complaining about vanilla problems.
Don’t let the haters cast any doubt. Just because 1 spec is decent as a warlock does NOT mean the other 2 are. Destruction is the ONLY spec we have that is decently effective. EVERY other class is getting balancing buffs to make playing the other specs fun and effective. While Shadow Priest DID need some buffs, it should have been NOWHERE near the over powered super saiyan bull they got. The kind of DOT damage they got SHOULD have been applied to buffing Affliction spec of warlocks allowing warlocks to play multiple specs effectively as they are doing for every other class. A class that is already number one in healing should NOT also be number 1 in DPS.
They really blew it for Affliction warlocks. Seeing Haunt gave me hope that Affliction would finally be more than just for leveling. Looking at the rest of the runes makes one wonder what the developers were thinking.
Soul Siphon in its current form can never compete with Master Channeler in both PvP and PvE. In PvE, it increases the efficiency of Drain Life and allows one to spam Shadow Bolt or perform other tasks while passively dealing damage and healing. Increasing the health gained while also being passive makes life tapping more efficient and less of a strain for your healers. All of the benefits of Master Channeler in PvE transfer over to PvP while also reducing your vulnerability to interrupts.
Invocation does very little for damage or mana efficiency; the other two waist runes are vastly superior. Everlasting Affliction is nice for mana efficiency only in PvE. The rest of the runes useful for Affliction are just blanket damage modifies that also benefit Destruction. The insane damage modifiers that they gave Incinerate and Lake of Fire set the nails in the coffin for Affliction.
They could perhaps buff locks instead of nerfing spriests?

Ranked 9th out of 14th on logs and folks still want them nerfed.

Luckily for us there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it isn’t a Shadow Priest freight train. With more health and more time blizzard will make your adventuring in azerothian PvP zones less perilous

shadow priest have 20yard range on MF and 30 yard range on everything unless they talent into a 3/3 talent to give 36yard range. Destro lock does nearly twice the dps as a SP in pve. Destro in pvp is insane if you are good at pvp

keep crying about SP. l2 read logs and you’d understand SP need a massive dmg buff. Dying to someone in PVP doesn’t mean they need a nerf esp when it facts and backed by raw dmg logs. seems like u need to l2p and based on your typical forum rants you are a 1500 xp player so you shouldn’t complain about pvp

sustain dps in pvp lol. burst? rogs, hunter and mage do. paladins and mages have the best defensive in the game. (a full immunity) and there is no mass dispel in SoD

Make chaos bolt instant then locks are good in pvp
