Thank you for trying blizzard. I may not know what happens behind the scenes. I’ve heard you are afraid people will get bored and servers will end up empty. I’m guessing there will be no changes to the queue. I’m too busy in my life to sit in the queue for hours in a day just to play for a few minutes before I need to sleep for work the next day. It’s very sad for an old player like me to relive my old classic days. It’s unfortunate I can’t even experience it. Thanks for trying but you have failed on an epic level. This is not a joke. I seriously cannot play because of the queue taking up too much time.
Thanks again
Note: I just got back from Germany. I left Wed. I barely played classic wow. Had to leave the puter on for hours and hours. I come back from Germany and same issue. This should not happen.
A lot of us rolled on Whitemane. A lot of the servers are in queues. I’m trying to level on my main server. I’m not gonna play alone to 60 and pay $25 to change servers.
I grinded my UD Priest to level 11 the first night… server had a 4 hour queue next day so I rerolled this Mage on Thunderfury when it launched.
Haven’t had a queue since. Just hit 32.
Made all this progress after I bailed on the guild and decided I’d make new friends on a server I could play on versus seeing the no lifers in the guild at level 30 while I was in a queue when I’d get home from work.
Cool story bro. Sounds like you didn’t have any friends going into this though. Lots of us do, and rerolling everyone on another server is a tough sell. But go ahead and keep thinking the people sitting in queue are the problem, not Blizzard whose strategy is literally “wait them out, enough people will quit and it will be k”
I think alot of people dont understand that we dont have time for both re rolling or waiting for hours in a queue. I tought blizzard understood that a big amount of people playing would be very old by now, therefore having alot of responsabilities.
Iam not paying for another month. Kinda makes me thing this is what blizz wanted. Even if I would like to continue playing, my friends wont.
My whole group of friends, 15ish people, went to another server to wait out queue times until we can get back to herod. I didnt. you’re an adult, observe the situation and make your choice.
I’m playing on Herod, one of the most populated servers in the world right now, and I’ve gotten hours of play time in every night at prime time.
If you want to do something in a similar situation, right now you’re going to need to remotely log in to your computer (you can use TeamViewer which is free and can work from your phone) and get into the queue several hours before you’re actually going to play. Yep, it’s an extra hurdle, but it beats the hell out of the alternative of not playing at all if swapping servers isn’t viable.
You’re right… I didn’t have friends going in. But I did pay attention to the posts about queues and didn’t refuse to move because the server was named Whitemane and not Blaumeux.
I’m not siding with Blizzard… I’m also not banking on them opening up transfers which is why I sacrificed the 3 hours invested in my level 11 toon and rerolled.
My guild went to Whitemane, the queue times during peak are 2 hours +… so i can’t always schedule time to play on Whitemane during peak… .so i mad an alt on a low pop server to play in the mean time.
I really want to play, but I have probably waited close to 24 hours or more collectively in queues since launch. That’s 24 hours of precious game time that I could spend leveling. This is insane.
I hear you. Classic is very much a friend-oriented experience. If you can’t play with your friends, what’s the point? Especially if some were able to level quite a bit on a server while others were stuck in the queue.
Even if you switched servers you’d be in a queue. I get that Blizzard wants to avoid dead servers and all, but the game should be accessible period.
