Time to put my DH on the shelf

Ret palys, enhanced Shamans and Warriors are the melee’s dominating now.

Ret paly’s can stand in fire / any sh*t , pop bubble or LOH and continue dpsing, while DH have to jump all over the place to sustain momentum build or avoid damage… which cause us to die more frequently in S2

Lmfao no way you’re complaining about “ dominating melees rn”. I play all melee specs rn, First off your build is horrible you’re not going to get anywhere with that build , havoc is one of the biggest pumpers in the game right now. And with the buffs come reset expect to see the forums crying for nerfs.

Run the correct build your eye beam & chaos strike will hit like a freight train. I will link mine to share with you if you want it.

Only thing keeping havoc under the radar is the busted caster meta going on rn.

Ty, but just playing my ret paly 10 ilvl lower with 10k-15K higher DPS and with no stress easy rotation / survivability.

It’s def more forgiving specs out there.

It’s no longer C tier with the recent buffs you mean, and that is if you are the playing monkey on crack build.

Link you build, i’d like to see that.

I linked it ur other thread.

Any havoc complaining like their spec is somehow dog poo compared to the other dps it’s %100 likely a skill issue. Havoc is by no means destro or boomi lvls op, but like I said they pump. And their one of the best melee specs to play with this disgusting caster meta .

And tbh I don’t think there’s a single spec in this game at the moment that can’t dish out some crazy dmg tbh, only outlier is the utility & self sustain.

It 100% is a skill issue, it always is. The problem is that it didn’t have to be, as they shoved initiative gameplay down our throats. I could play DH just fine in the past, and this build being mandatory for M+ means I either get to play a D tier build or reroll.

The amount of effort for the amount of DPS required on havoc isn’t good either. I have to put in almost double to effort compared to devoker just to do equal dps.

I really don’t understand what is so “hard” about the build. I was an avid momentum hater for the longest time and have been playing DH since launch and now I’m in love with the playstyle and have very few issues. Mainly just takes getting used to and knowing the actual fights so you know when you can zip around and when it is gonna get you killed

Keeping track of several stacking buffs, positioning, multiple frontals that may happen, while keeping track of interrupts, while keeping track of your environment and making sure you don’t leap backwards into something, while also keeping track of your cooldowns to make sure you can still get back to the mob in time.

Maybe you can, I can’t and I never had to in the past. And no, it’s not a “skill issue” or a “git gud”, it’s called ADHD and specifically the lack of focus and attention. Out of sight, out of mind. The reason I enjoyed DH a lot in the past was because I didn’t have to keep track of several cooldowns or buffs, and they completely ruined that. Why would I play havoc that gets 100% of the damage for 150% of the effort, while literally every other melee spec gets 100% of the damage for 100% of the effort?

It 100% is a skill issue though whether you want to acknowledge that or not. Don’t sit here and try to blame ADHD for the fact that you can’t keep up with a spec you’re not the only person who plays this game and has ADHD. If you really don’t want to play momentum then play the non mover spec and yeah you will loose out on some damage but it isn’t like you’re doing 50% less damage. Momentum is a 8% buff so its not the end o the world if you play a different spec.

I’d go even further. No mover build is seriously equal given how versatile it is in live gameplay. Can use it for single target and AoE.

I hated DH until they made it engaging this xpac. Why play the game if you just sit there and press 3 buttons?

I play no mover in pve and Momentum/Glaives in pvp. Enjoy both.

Tell me you don’t know anything about ADHD and specifically ADD without telling me you don’t know anything about it.

Again, tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about.

The damage comes from Initiative, not momentum.

I’ve played it during S1, it was subpar in M+.

I was going to type out a reply for you, but it isn’t worth my time. Have fun continuing to complain instead of learning to actually play the spec

This. Exactly why I am switching to a Ret Paly.

every spec has a build thats stronger then the rest. its how the game is especially with the return of talent trees. ultimately the game is supposed to be fun, if dh momentum isnt fun for alot of you then you are free to reroll and had plenty of chances to reroll already. every other melee doesnt use movement as a way to deal damage, pick one of those so they can buff momentum

Hey I can’t speak on them in pve I only pvp atm, idk how they preform but I’ve seen a lot of complaints about their ST being kinda crap. Hopefully the buffs Tuesday will help, y’all. But havoc is doing fine in pvp, they rnt as oppressive as the current SS+ tier specs but after Tuesday who knows.

And as I’ve said the momentum build is outdated anyways you can look at the top players they don’t run that anymore, atleast not in pvp. New build more sustain & burst dmg, chaos theory is a viable talent now that the bug is fixed. The new build also Synergizes well with the tier set making it even stronger.

Also they fixed essence break, can now be used when kicked, so you try to fully eye beam for fury gen and damage, if kicked you can still EB into DS.
