All these anti botter and multi boxer threads fail to address the easiest and simple way to get rid of them and “Make it fair for everyone.” All crafting material gets a 100% over vendor price cap when on the AH. It’s simple and easily fixes the problem with all those botters. The player benefits as they are no longer being price gouged on materials.
This just hurts people who gather materials.
Yeah, screw me for enjoying farming on a single account.
This is possibly the worst idea ever
How about we just make ALL crafting material and crafted items soul bound?
If you wanna craft, you have to gather it yourself.
This way, you can spend a LOT less time trying to control an economy and focus on the game
More like time to put a cap on stupid ideas like this
This just gets rid of the botter and multi boxing problem that constantly are posted in General Discussion. The definitive solution…
The truth hurts, I know.
I agreed until
That has not happened for over 15 years, it’s not a definitive solution. My ideal is.
It will get rid the botters / multiboxers / and price gouging rip off artists that plague the AH. 100% cap over vendor price is the definitive fix for all these QQ threads about botters / multi boxers.
So by 100% over the vendor price, do you mean we should only be allowed to sell materials at 2 copper apiece?
A double edged sword to speak…then you can’t purchase something you might need to craft with. I would be perfectly ok with it as it would in fact get rid of the botters / multi boxers / price gougers.
Why even have an auction house at all? I was going to say this was the stupidest idea I’ve read all week, but I can’t say that. There’s some really stupid ideas on here. This one deserves an honorable mention though.
You know what would happen if they did this? TO NO ONE’S SURPRISE THE MARKET WOULD FIND A WAY.
People would just trade by mail (CoD) and in person.
If you made Spectral Tigers only sellable for 100k gold do you think people would be dumb enough to list them? No because no matter what arbitrary rules you put into place you cannot change the value of an item.
Crafting socialism. Get used to it everyone…
Changes to ore/herb nodes to allow multi tap and changes to skinning to prevent other skinners from skinning greediness is what caused the problem. None of those QoL improvements were really necessary, and skinning changes actually broke skinning imo rather than fixing it.
As long as that goes for the final crafted product…sure.
You cant have a rule like that for just gatherers as there are non-bot gatherers as well and a gathering profession takes the same slot as a crafting one.
Yes that will fix everyone’s problems (/s).
simply cap how much someone can farm in a day.
I would safely say 99% of us don’t farm 24/7 as bots do and we wouldn’t be affected by it. Like a hundred herbs or whatever.
You got to give some ground to gain some in the fight against bots.
How about all crafting material and all crafting goods are bound to that character only. So you can’t sell anything you make/farm on the AH including flask/pots/oils/lego parts/armor/weapons. Not even your other character on your account you can send to.
That way no more price gourging and you can happily farm your own mats to level your profession skills.
How about this is a bad idea. I have double crafting characters, and druids to farm my ore and herbs - you would make all my characters professions useless.
Why do so many ‘solutions’ to these type of problems screw normal players.
I buy all my herbs off the AH, but that line made me go “what?” haha.
It is free market, don’t pay it if it is too expensive, buy it when it isn’t.
Price control systems are just bad because you may then find that people stop farming and you can’t even buy what you want on the AH - and that would suck.
