Time to let us play both classic and retail at the same time

It’s time.

I wish, being able to que on retail while level on classic would be a dream come true.

That would take a special kind of tech to pull you out of and close one game, then open, and sign you into another.

If that existed, you could do the same with any two Blizzard games.

Nah, it’s fine the way it is.

Besides the community would be fighting with each other over it.

I see no point for this not to exist. Across all classics.

Classics would be limited to what they can do and what they can have, so if they see a player dragon riding in old world, a classic player would be screaming their heads off “that didn’t happen in WoLK”! Classic players will also be blocked to proceed past further expansions.

Classic people would be the kind to demand removal of dungeon finder and LFR, so to keep the peace it’s a separate entity.

Our models are also updated and have more race/class and not classic looking so the game would have to be 2 separate entities anyways.

There is no reason to make things more complicated and confusing.

I’m just seeing a thread about classic wanting to take over retail without a good explanation.

People really need to learn to convince and explain better than this.

You can already play more than one Blizzard game at a time…just not WoW retail and classic because they use one launcher. e.g. you can have both WoW and D4 running at the same time…or D4 and D3…or any other combination of games.

Also, why would you need it to pull you out of one game and open another when you can just have both running at the same time?

In theory, if they gave WoW Classic its own game profile/launcher on the BNet app, it should work. Of course, there could also be some behind-the-scenes conflicts that we just don’t know about.

Can you do something without keyclone software or being AFK in one?

I just checked - I can have both versions of WoW running at once (though my computer is not happy because I have a bunch of other programs running lol).

I don’t know why anyone would want to though.

That is so smart I would love that, and herbing on classic while queueing in retail.

You can run both on the computer, it’s just that as soon as you log into one, you are logged out of the other.

I wish they’d fuse classic with Chromie Time on retail servers. You choose to level in the vanilla setting anf BAM. Enjoy the classic setting and quests with a modern class and character until lvl 60.

Why not?

You can. If you have a machine that can handle it. I used to play with 2 retail accounts open at the same time.

You can not play both at the same time on the same account.

Not in my case - I was able to have both open with characters running around. Albeit, very slowly lol.

I mean the Retail version of WoW is kind of boring and I want to explore the older zones again but in HD Form.

Ah, I just get “your account has been logged in somewhere else” but I am glad if it is working for someone.

Ooooo… oops, bad Gnome! (me, not you). I have two accounts and sometimes dual box (again - very slowly and very badly, so much so the toons usually end up arguing with each other).
