Time Rifts

I have been getting annoyed at the number of people on their mounts waiting for the rift to open instead of doing the scenario and helping get to that point. Why is it that AFKers can stand around and delve into the rift locking the people who actually did the work out? It’s this negative gameplay that makes content not fun. Like in battlegrounds, there should be afk getting kicked from the zone penalty. What do they get from the end boss anyways, other than to troll the people who did the content? Now, I don’t want to do the content when 20 people on both horde and alliance stand around the portal zone or above on the pillars while a few of us struggle to get through the various chest timers and then lock us out of the end guy.

Bonus objs give more flakes to people who do them. They are personally based as well, so people going AFK doesn’t really matter. I’ve capped all mounts, tabards, the full mog set + the rag shoulders. I have all items from the rift vendors minus the pets. All because I spammed ads and got flakes faster. Just let the afk’ers afk.

I AFK because I want to get other stuff done on my PC while I wait for the big portal to open.

Honestly, I prefer the afkers right where they are. Sitting on their mounts on the wall means they are not clogging up the objective areas even more and making things more laggy.

The bar gets filled fine without them, don’t need them getting in the way, and like Ithost said they are getting fewer flakes anyway.

Not only do afkers get less flakes but they also get less rep for sidormi or whatever her name is.

9/10 times the 7500 essence bar is done with 1 min or more till the portal opens. If you keep killing things after that and miss the portal thats on you

Then don’t?

shrug

Just make the area around the time rift area a no fly zone while the event is active. Will it make getting to objectives take a bit longer, sure but if they can’t fly up to the pillars, that at least will discourage this behavior.

You ain’t doing nothing, come on. Like you solving world problems in between playing wow. “Work on other things “, work…yep, that’s what you do. :face_with_monocle:

Here’s a better way to get stuff done, log out of the game and do that stuff, now you won’t have the game to distract you at all.

A certain amount of effort should be required in order to enter the portal.

Too bad there isn’t an individual bar that you have to personally contribute to, in lieu of the community bar that requires filling.

That would be awesome to see the absolute forum spam of people who can’t enter the rift because they decided to sit on a pillar the whole time.

With every excuse in the book about why they couldn’t fill their own bar, more than likely.

Certified Time Rift AFK’er here;

The Time Rift was fun the first go around, but then after that it got hopelessly tedious and boring, and I realized my personal contribution didn’t make the whole thing go any faster anyway. So now I AFK on the pillars in the center.

Don’t blame me, blame Blizzard for making completely un-engaging and tedious content.

What’s ironic is, half the people who defend sitting AFK on a pillar are probably the same ones who claim everyone AFKs in LFR for free loot.

I blame you, personally. This ain’t a blizz issue, it’s on you. Just a sad existence in game if that’s how you ‘play’. If it wasn’t so sad, it would be comical…but no, you angry sad…at a video game company. :slightly_smiling_face:

Don’t care. :kissing_heart:

Ahhh, the feigned careless ‘Tude. The last vestiges of the forgotten and shallow. :kissing_heart:

If Blizzard made them invisible to you, it wouldn’t bother you.

A lot of people will always take the path of least resistance. Demanding people put in work for rewards that others contributed to. Not very modern of you, comrade.

Just going to tell them the same thing open world players get told all the time, they want the rewards, they should have to do the content. It’s so ironic that they tell open world players that if they want better gear do the content, then those same players will gladly sit on a pillar and get rewards for not actually doing the content and defend it.
