I would like to suggest that the developers come up with a way that forces players to engage in at least one event during the Time Rift event.
Literally dozens of players sit on the pillars during the entire event and then swoop down to go in the portal.
There seems to be an easy fix by requiring players to complete at least one of the events to enter the rift. They already get the chests for the work of others why benefit from the rift too?
It’s annoying knowing that you are doing all of the events but can’t get in the rift because it maxed out.

I said this in another thread but I think many of those players are bugged and don’t know how to continue progress. I bugged three times in a row in the last time rift I did.

I would agree if the sheer number of them (on our servers at least) sitting on the pillars wasn’t so large.
On my first ever one i was given no tasks.
The last 3 ive done have had tasks just freeze making it so they cannot be completed.
Maybe if it was bug free, but right now it would be really unfair to players to implement something like that.

While I understand you having that issue, there are people who glide right from Soridormi to the pillars, I am confident they are not having that issue. Regardless, you do not have do the tasks per se, you can still kill mobs and help fill the counter.
If you actually got into the time rift god bless you. Hundreds of players get locked out each hour and just try to get in, over and over, it’s the worst design conceivable. Plays like mental torture

Rifts are a joke right now, last few iv been getting bugged on objectives, so they only option you have is to afk till the last boss , thats what people been doing… legit the content is like a free to play game
A better idea would have just to the Rifts spawn across the world at various times with enough warning for people to get to them, and then they just walk in and do the thing.
The lead up stuff if time wasting and pointless imo.

Mobs still give Temporal Essence if you kill them regardless of the objective. You do lose out on flakes and rep but you can still benefit by killing mobs.
Yea theres like a million people doing the Rift being melee its really hard to even get a hit on one mob

Do you even get fragment chests for just sitting around? I’ve been running around trying to make sure I get my bar filled.
This isn’t fully true until you are assigned a task in the final minute and a half which usually results in you getting the “kill everything” objective. But on higher pop shards it doesn’t really matter, because odds are nearly every active mob is an objective for someone’s task, so they’re giving essence from you killing them by proxy. On lower pop shards it isn’t as viable a strategy.
Yes, I’ve gotten them when showing up late and the meter ticked over before I even talked to Soridormi to get my first task.
Honestly,they should have two events spaced in 30 minute cycles that way there wouldn’t be a bundle of folk trying to enter and built a lags issue.

i think the easiest thing to do - is turn it into a scenario so its capped at certain peopole that the shard can handle.
THEN like soup have it where you MUST fininsh X amount of tasks.
if u do NOT clear said tasks you do not get the" key:" to go into the portal.
i acutally mentioned that we should report afkers on the pillar and had multiple hate messages - whihc proves - these guys are not lagging - they are leaches.
I don’t know if it does any good but ive reported quite a few for afk

Yeah,that’s my problem too,the timer is not saying what is going on.
It doesn’t matter one way or the other. You’ll generate much more currency participating in the tasks than people who are just waiting on the boss.
Best not to worry about what other people are doing. If you put too many restrictions on it, you’ll end up hurting yourself if you show up late, or push away bodies to help kill the end bosses.
