Yeep, that’s always the issue, right? If they come out with something, then “it’s time gated” because everything they do come out with is expansion only, most of the time.
Then if they don’t come up with anything: “I’m bored! There’s nothing to do blizz, help me!”
Yeppo, you just can’t win.
It’s almost like the game is so vast that the playerbase is so vastly different and playing this game for different reasons, but yee.
No wins at all.
They aren’t. They’re only a disgrace to newer players coming into the expansion after it’s been out many months. If that’s the case: what did you expect bro. It’s like the person who shows up to an event that’s got a scheduled time start and end, and they show up for the last 30 minutes then when the event ends they go “that’s it? lameeee” Yeah, you weren’t there for the full event bro, you were late.
Yeppo, another “ya think ya do, but ya don’t” thing blizz loves to tell the playerbase. Players are like a bunch of crybabies, honestly.
“Blizz I want professions to be better!” Well, ok, here they’re better but they’re still not relevant. “Blizz I want professions to be meaningful for the entire raid tiers and expansion.” Well, ok, here you go. “Wait, this ain’t what I wanted.” Yes it is. You asked for it, you got it. It’s relevant and meaningful again for the entire expansion.
The simple solution is: don’t start the expansion 75% of the way through, then. Either go play a different game until you can come in at the beginning or simply don’t worry about catching up fully. Either way that’s not their fault anyone else started it 75% of the way through, that’s that person’s fault instead.
Except you aren’t correct, as multiple people already tried explaining you.
Not knowing how to use search doesn’t mean you are correct, quite opposite.
Look for beef somewhere else, low bait trolls are easy to detect.
Even now with all the gating some players complain that there is nothing to do , so ! But it is true too much gating and often stupid gating ,meaning just to slow players a very frustrating way to keep players busy .They are the devs it is to them to come with a game that players will love ,The number of players who left the game since the day we were over ten millions to what we are now has shrink for some reasons and time gating would be the first .My opinion
players asked for professions to be meaningful, and they got monkey pawed once again… I know you want to defend your precious Blizzard but good gods man, get the smelling salts and wake up from this delusion.
Yes, remove time gating, I look forward to playing 48 hours straight at start of season and gearing up with conquest points and slicing through noobs in BGs like butter and laughing myself silly.
Time gating encourages healthier play habits and keeps things fair for those that want to play a lot but not no life it. Some people may want to chainsmoke but that doesn’t mean everyone should have to in order to keep up.
That’s a pretty weak argument, IMO. Restricting people’s gameplay does not seem like a productive solution to player boredom. Especially for legacy content. If someone wants to farm Onyxia 500 times in a day, we should let them. What is the point of restricting people’s gameplay, especially for items that have no impact on player power? Just because “it’s always been this way”?
