Hard disagree. I think FOTM rerolling is the proper response when something is disproportionately balanced for extended periods.
I’ll leave it at that though because I think I’m the minority in that opinion.

Kind of like how spriest got a bunch of meaningless fluff buffs and now everyone thinks it’s a menace, despite never uttering a peep before?
People complain loudest about whatever the fotm train decides to try out, and least about whatever isn’t being seen much.
Pres was a little too complicated for the fotms.

I totally understand the top players FoTM rolling because they are playing for money. Those classes are wayyy above all others, why wouldn’t you pick em in that situation.
Neither was asking for FW buffs. It hurt all of us in our hearts.

They aren’t champs this isn’t league. It’s an RPG. People want to be able to play their main and not be punished for not playing fotm.

I understand that limitation to the arena scene in wow.
To me though, the most vibrant a competative scene could be is balanced where people can play whatever they wanna play.
Priest - Always
Rogue - Always
Mage - Always
Feral only showing up as a stand-in for rogue.
I agree it’s mainly the usual suspects. But we did see Boomy, Ele, WW, Enhancement, Warrior and occasional DK. Representation has been much better than Dragonflight with it’s RMPs.
I think it’s funny that people keep mentioning SP in this context. Yes it’s doing well, but it’s not even in the same ballpark as feral is right now and it’s easily countered by several other classes. I would argue it’s as strong as it should always have been, competitive but not super overpowered. A threat but certainly not enough to carry a team on its own and it still requires a tremendous amount of skill to play really well.
The game should not be balanced around AWC.
Main game modes are blitz and solo shuffle i think those modes should be what balancing is done by and not for the 0.1% but for the 95% of players.

Just because sp is not feral doesnt mean its not above other specs. You cant comoare yourself the the best spec and say “see? Sp aint feral so sp is fine dont look this way pleaseeee”
I can compare and/or imply whatever the heck I want dude. You think you’re making some profound logical arguments and expect to inherently change my mind? 
It’s called an opinion for a reason.
Every time one class does well, everybody that doesn’t main that class wants to nerf it. It’s just the way it goes. I’m generally in favor of buffing other classes to compete not playing wack-a-mole with every class that gets a moment the in the spotlight.
SP still is not as OP as everybody that doesn’t main SP seem to think it is. I would argue it’s on par with most with the top specs right now sure, and it has its niche with certain comps or against certain opponents where it shines. However, it’s certainly not outperforming the entire roster of top specs by a wide margin like feral.
Sp is easily the best caster hands down and it’s crazy to say otherwise.
That doesnt mean other casters arent strong or viable, but SP is head and shoulders above the rest.
You just said a whole lot of nothing. Again, comparing sp the one of if not the strongest spec right now and saying “sp is fine” makes no sense. Just own it say sp is strong. People will ask for nerfs anyways.
Sp is comfortably ahead of lots of other specs. You are not “just fine” and no this current state is not “as strong as it shouls always have been”. Its very strong and lots of other specs are lagging behind

Shadow priest is literally only outdone by feral. Only. No other ranged class even comes close without having a shadow or disc to back them up.
And combine shadow, feral, and hpal ( because rules make them use different classes otherwise you’d see 3 priests or priests and ferals) you have a unbeatable trio.

It would be nice if every class was competitive.
It would bring some life back to the AWC if everyone’s class could be represented.
Anytime it’s rmp or mage/lock/x I pretty much just turn it off.
