As the title says. It is time for goblin and worgen monks (possibly lightforge as well, I’ll leave that for more knowledgeable LFD fans). There is no more need to retort about time-lock since that is a mcguffin from the past, since there are already two other races are “time-locked” as well but have access to monks. Although with recent rumors suggest (yes, I know, rumors are still rumors), that all 1-10 starting zones are getting revamped in Shadowlands (or even for the most recent upcoming patch update), if true, this would make for an ample opportunity to introduce monks to these two core races.
Even if time-locked and starting zones remain as is, the trainers don’t need to specifically need to be introduced as pandarens. Both races have a uniqueness to them that would be both fitting and within their element. Goblins more so, mainly due to the fact their Warrior Trainer is a literal goblin shaped vending machine.

Goblin Monk Trainer Rep(s):
Prizefighter Priscilla “The Piston” Steammist
Coach “Mean Green” Gene
A duo who utilized a cheap and underhand tactics to rig wins against Steam and Bilge goblins by keeping Priscilla healed and healthy during her fights. Brining in huge crowds to Kazan to watch her fight and outlast and defeat other goblins, hobgoblins, trolls and the occasional orc. Bringing in large profits and stardom.
Worgen Monk Trainer Rep(s):
Lennox & Louise Windclaw
A couple (brother and sister) that love to fight. They love the thrill of a good old fashion brawl and fist fight. They will fight with each other, and with anyone who happens to accept their invitation. They are confident in their hand to hand combat they fear not going bare knuckles with any one in armor, and toe-to-toe with any beast. With Lennox claiming to be Gilneas’ undefeated fighter.
These two (well, technically four) trainers can easily go forth into the current system with ease. Worgen, accepting and becoming one with what they become in the starting zone, to using and the monk’s clarity and teachings to maintain a true balance between man and beast.
While goblins, would maintain their for-profit ideology and profiteering in “kung-fu shows”, but utilizing a new found accustom insight and balance to maintain a calmer nature versus goblins known more “explosive” personality.

While it is understandable that certain races shouldn’t be certain classes cause of the lore, and as such there has been plenty of time where game mechanics comes out over lore for the sake of game play. Both races, have features from mist all the way to current retail that already show teasers and indications of interest in monks (i.e: Legion Monk Hall – Goblin Monk sitting on roof / Mist – Random Worgen citizen contemplating inner peace as another method). As well, the combat animation is already set and within the game for both races.
While Monk does indeed have a DPS spec, it does brings the additional tanking and healing class to the two, increasing a larger and wider options to them, provide as well more tanks and healers to mix. Including that (if the forums are any indication of a sample size) many have declared and stated they would pay for faction changes and race changes to both as well as level boost just to have a worgen and goblin (or even both) monk to play. Bringing in large chunk of revenue by opening up monks to these two races.
As a whole, in the short term, and long term aspect – it would be beneficial to open up the class to these two races (more so, now that the vast majority of the allied races has access to monk as well).
Also, from Mist to current (well, actually Legion, and portions of current retail as of now) Monk themed gear fits well and looks decent and molds nicely with the races and their looks / themes.
Or, this could be all for naught and they pull the gnome hunter move on us all and announce Goblin/Worgen it about three weeks / a month prior to patch/expansion being released.
Just a thought.
