All the hard stuff is already done and the Eredar/Darkfallen options have shown they aren’t even remotely interested in adding any more Allied Races.
We have the High Elf NPCs and lore characters, the customization options, and we have hard confirmation that all the ‘Subrace’ options are in fact the playable form of those races.
Barring any Voice/Racial/Racial Tag options in the future (Which is wanted for all ‘Subraces’), it’s already been dealt with.
And all the stuff that’s left fits Void Elves just as much if not better.
Let this old freaken dibate die and work with what we have people!
Why don’t we just combine Void and Blood Elves into Thalassian Elves. They can be a neutral race. I used to care more about race identity, but it is hard to when no one else does…
Strong agree. Give them all blood elf hair style options, give them the ability to toggle their display-race to high elf at the barber shop (and for example stop NPC reactions like the priest at the front of SW cathedral who freaks out at these heretical evil embracing monsters entering).
oh you got me started (this is your fault…not really but here goes anyway). they messed up blood elf faces. and this flub, has in turn, messed up void elf faces. for example
old school belf, her eyes are not bugged out and oversized and she has eyelids! and a cute heartshaped face . new belf, oversized bug eyes and elongated face with too long of a chin, like they stretched too little texture over too much real estate, causing huge eyesockets, and only a hint of eyelids because the eyeball has taken up almost all the space…
I have similar problems with the WoD updated character models. The higher definition on some of the male night elf faces made them look considerably older and uglier than they already did. There’s faces I will no longer use unless a particular toon already had a full beard to hide their face. I’m sure there’s other races that had similar issues with the updated models as well.
belf females appear to be missing brow bones above their eyesocket in wod update. and their cute heart shaped faces with little chins, gone as are the pretty eyes with lids and eyelashes. wtflip the wod models eyebrows are practically on the eye socket.
Yes, and where did I say otherwise?
They were welcomed back into Quel’thalas even though they still are working with the alliance.
At this exact moment and since the end of BFA there are no “tensions” between the factions. That is not a reason for a child of Silvermoon to not go back home, except if you’re void touched, then you can’t go because you’re a danger to the Sunwell.
Even the very small near negligible regiment of the remaining silver covennant is not enough to add ANOTHER allied race to the alliance based on the Blood Elves. Just get your void touched and be happy that they allowed you to look like something that is not void-touched.
We have been though this. The high elves are likely a larger group then the Void elves who are just one RESEARCH GROUP. Hell, they are bigger then the playable pandarens who are ONE SCHOOL AND 2 VILLAGES.
There is and its called bitterness about being betrayed by their own people. Being tossed out because they did not want to suck magic like vampires and forced to live on their own or live in Alliance lands.
Void Elves have full helf customization. Other races can get more customizations.
If they have to add anything to void elves, they should lean into the void them as HARD as possible.
High Elves still exist. The Silver Covenant is one group of High Elves. There are other groups of High Elves, such as the one in Hinterlands.
This.
To be fair, Void Elves can already have a full High Elf appearance. But yeah, at this point I wish people would stop asking for more helf stuff for void elves. Void them the ef up. Then in some future after they’ve gotten a load of cool void customization, we can look into if they need more helf customizations.
How so? Vulpera are literally furry goblins, even right down to their lore. The only real difference is Vulpera don’t build technology like the goblins.
I mean, it stems from Warcraft 2 where High Elves were part of the Alliance, but a lot of people don’t realize that Silvermoon left the Alliance after they defeated the Horde.
Following the war, some high elves blamed the humans’ poor leadership for the burning of their forests. King Terenas of Lordaeron reminded them that nothing of Quel’Thalas would have remained if not for the hundreds of humans that gave their lives to defend it, but nevertheless, the high elves largely abandoned the Alliance and retreated to their kingdom.
I don’t remember anyone or anything ever stating the Silver Covenant was going back to Silvermoon or joining the Blood Elves. Can you please provide the source for this?
and dont forget many of the sunreavers lived in dalaran among humans, for 2000 years before arthas’ scourge event, and some formed bonds and married, had half elven children. this could explain why many broke off from kael’thas because they didnt want to leave their families behind in dalaran when kael took the blood elves to outlands. its also why elisande told the queldorei they had tainted their blood lines with lesser races. my view is the silver covenant would be mostly half elves.
Unless if we finally get something good out of Dwarves, Orcs, Humans, Draenei, and etc. Requests like these will probably continue unless Blizzard brings out Mok’nathal, or broken, or blackrock grey skin looking orcs into the picture for character customization options.
