Time for cross faction BG's

I won’t deny that alliance have lost good players to horde but we also lost some looking for easy wins and carries.

If you’re willing to do what nobody else wants to do, it can make a difference. Do you base sit? Do you grab orbs? Do you escort carts? I’ve seen so many players who don’t do those things yelling at the rest of the group for not doing it.

I’ve enjoyed alliance in BfA randoms. Some nights I have to take a break after a loss streak hoping for a different player pool but most nights are more wins than losses and I enjoy the challenge of playing the underdog faction.

Happens Horde-side too. IDK how many times I see a few people in the 40-man AV all-offense zerg shocked and irritated nobody stayed on defense.

Be the change you want to see. That’s my motto.

As the OP, I actually dont like the idea of cross faction BG’s but cannot think of another way to address the lopsided win/loss ratio. That said, I only queue Epic and dont know whats going on in the regular BG’s.

I’m kind of the opposite in that I only queue for the small BG’s. I find those to be pretty even, actually, although I understand that not everyone has that same experience.

Time-of-day seems to be a factor, but I’m skeptical of the “[Faction] is doing well/poorly because the kids are in/out of school” claims that you tend to see so often.

As for Alliance losing in Epics, if this is a thing (I’m not saying it’s not, just that I don’t have the volume of recent experiences to strongly confirm it), it’s not going to turn around unless players stop throwing tantrums and quitting every time a match starts to go the other way. In this situation players need to think about adapting their tactics, trying new things, and building on small successes.

The way it is now, I get the sense that many players are just going into those BG’s expecting to be handed a win, and then tilting out when it doesn’t happen. But they don’t try anything different the next time, they just declare that the other 39 people are worthless retards and then queue up and do the same thing again.

Cross faction sucks but not as bad as going 0/10 in epic BG’s in one day. And that happens often.

Alliance suck lol but I could never roll Horde. I dont know what to do - losing so much takes the fun out of the game.

Maybe they should increase the group size for epics. Allow 10 instead of 5.

I’d be down. Some people would flip their lids though.

I agree, end the faction war, alliance just loses 70% of the time these days its getting even more lose percentage.

Landslide wins aren’t really fun for us horde either, pvp has lost its tough random challenge, its now just like a scripted horde wins scenario.
alliance “try” for the first minute and then leave if they die once.

It’s really just WG that Alliance lose that bad. If Blizz ever did away with that BG, it would be a lot more even.

I wish the Alliance would just grow a pair and stick it out without quitting. That’s why they lose so much. It’s a good BG.

Or just agree on one place to go! All Alliance do is split up in WG. 10 stay keep, 25 go SR (not enough to match the 35 Horde have) the other 5 are fish :joy: but really, the other 5 go somewhere…

Ok I lol’ed at

Imagine us a few expansions from now going “omg remember the fish pandemic?!”

Was gonna leave it that way, but thought some might get offended. And yea, can see us reminiscing when it turns into Gnome feasts… what would we rather be, a fish or a Gnome??

The fish form is definitely more powerful…

Just saw this, about 10 or 15 went sr and gave free rank, and not sure what the rest did.
How come people don’t read chat on alliance, I feel like if horde ignore you they will atleast reply in chat saying " no f you!! " lol atleast its communication.

Don’t be silly, it’s like half of Alliance can’t read. Whenever I queued in WG as Alliance, and someone mentioned something other than SR, I’d call it and say this many would still go SR. They didn’t believe me until it was too late and we were all over the map.

Well its weird that they dont read or listen, horde tends to atleast somewhat respond which is nice.

It’s only a guess. Maybe they read but they sure as heck don’t listen. Again, only a WG dilemma. A little in IOC but that is redeemable.

Ya’ll talk big game but you play the faction that has been the populist faction in all but one expansion. Where were all you pros when alliance were owning epics for years?

If blizzard ever cares enough to do something about horde domination expansion after expansion maybe the problem will correct itself. Until then I guess we will see ya’ll flexing and insulting alliance while you get carried by faction.
