To be fair, the Wrynn bloodline is not royalty… Lothar is the royal bloodline, and it died out in the Eastern kingdoms in the second war. Faerin LOTHAR has more claim to the throne legitimately than Anduin Wrynn does.

It boggles my mind how quickly people are willing to just dismiss the trauma he endured during Shadowlands, not to mention the years of wandering the Maw he did afterwards (which would be pretty traumatic all on its own). He was subjugated and forced to do things he didn’t want to do and hurt people he didn’t want to hurt - and discovered he kind of liked doing those things. It went against the very core of who he thought he was.
