(We divide by 8 because 24/3 hours = 8 hours)

Let’s see it’s 30$ for two months of play.
60 days times 24 hours is 1440 hours
30/1440= .0208$
That’s assuming you had 24 hours but let’s say the average person has 8 hours a day.
8*60 = 480
30/480 =.06

Well, they can track subscription time literally to the minute, so compensating playtime literally to the minute shouldn’t be impossible.

Pfft… your choice to only play 8 hours a day. Divide by 16. The doctors only recommend 8 hours of sleeping, and you can eat pizza while playing so meals are no excuse.

My math accounts for the fact that game time has been suspended for 3 hours (so far).

I usually go with the method:
30 days in a month, rounded out. 15 bucks a month (average sub price).
50 cents a day
24 hours in a day
5 hours of downtime would be 10 cents
3 hours of downtime would be around (not approximately) 6 cents.
So basically, people want 6 cents entered into their Blizzard credit, which would mean something if your downtime was 3 hours every day for 17 days which would only give you around a dollar, and you’d need at least 10 for something at least, so that’s 17x10, which comes out to 170 days, which is 5 months and 3 weeks.
Overall TL:DR - Not nearly enough money/time to be sad about.
Looking at this wrong way. 3 hours I’d have cloak already for an alt.
what currency are you using is it a differant out come Us dollar vs the world economy.
if you feel like that toward a MMO game i would suggest to go back to consoles as blizz laughs at the puny attempt of someone singing the old tune of “you owe me” song
