I’ve seen a lot of passionate feedback across the community on tier sets forcing people into specific builds that do not translate across multiple game modes.
It’s a tough job, I get it. But maybe moving forward the focus should be on not forcing certain specs into play styles that neglect the other half of their tree, or put a damper on what end game content they like in this game.
I think some of the loudest feedback comes from classes like Shamans where people don’t like being forced into Lava Lash or Storm Strike, or Ele’s wanting or not wanting to play the lava build.
It also happens across PvP like when frost mages want an entirely different season because casting glacials in say arena feels bad.
If your going to alter the play style of something that’s great but add more things to the pool of what it effects so both sides of a tree can benefit, or make it alter a baseline spec ability that gets used regardless of what content you are doing.
I’d give more examples but I think that kind of explains it.
Hard to make everyone happy, but easier not to make everyone mad every other season.
