Maybe I’m bad at Google but I can’t find any information on this. What’s happening with tier sets in 9.2.5?
I’m aware that all 3 raids are getting scaled up, but I’m guessing we’ll still be using tier 28 sets. Does that also mean that I’ll be able to loot tier from every raid? Is it only from SFO, meaning that you can only get tier 1/3 weeks?
Has there been any information posted about how this is going to function?
We’re getting Creation Catalyst to turn loot from CN and SoD into tier pieces.
Tier will only drop directly from SFO, but I believe we’ll be able to turn Fated/S4 gear from CN and SoD into tier via the Catalyst.
Would be interesting if the different raids had different secondaries on the pieces, betting they won’t though. Will all turn into SoTFOs tier.
This seems like a pretty avoidable mistake that people will predictably be upset about.
The raids also rotate each week only 1 raid has the affixs and drops the higher loot each week. So every 3 weeks you can get a direct drop of S4 tier. Guess you have to use catalyst for other gear.

Eh, by the time S4 rolls around, the Catalyst will have like 50 charges (assuming they don’t just remove the limit altogether), and it’s not like Flux is a rare commodity.
Thats assuming they dont reset the charges between seasons, which is a plausible possibility. Still good, but less great
They already capped the catalyst at 3 charges so much for that plan.

Why, you can just take the all the armor parts from the other raids and convert them in the catalyst upgrade system.
Or Blizzard could just replace 4 pieces of loot with tier in those old raids…
We don’t need three different sources of the same item, it is redundant.

This seems like bait anyways, WoWhead is reporting that it is currently holding up to 5 charges.
Regardless, they already said they arnt making any adjustments to the catalyst. So as soon as S4 launches you’ll have changes stacked to max (whatever the max is) and you’ll be getting a new one every other day. Pretty sure it’s gonna take people longer to get pieces to convert than any limitation with the catalyst itself

Everyone has 5 charges atm if you’ve not used any yet.
As of this week’s reset they lowered the charge CD too, to 4 days instead of a week.
