Hello all! I’ve returned to season 1 after a hiatus.
I had a plethora of catalyst charges when I came back so I’ve been unlocking tier set appearances on my toons…
Does anyone know if the color of my set piece goes by ilvl or is it based on quality?
IE if I max out a veteran item to 606ilvl and spend a catalyst charge to convert it… will I get upgraded to the normal raid appearance or will it remain LFR appearance?
Optimum is to convert a Veteran piece → it will become an LFR Tier piece.
THEN upgrade the piece → It will become a Normal Tier piece.
So you get two appearances for the price of one!
If you upgrade it first, you will get only the Normal appearance, so do the Catalyst Conversion first, and you get the extra appearances for free as you upgrade the piece.
As I recall, the ilevel equivalents are
584-593 → Raid Finder Tier
597-606 → Normal Tier
610-619 → Heroic Tier
623-632 → Mythic Tier
