Tier set mog

Is it just me or does the new questing set look better than the new tier mog for pally? Lol

It definitely looks better.
One of the sets has Revendreth colors and could go great with one of their capes.
Another seems to be designed with the Nightborne colors in mind.

If in the future the Nightborne can be Paladins I could very well switch races to wear that armor.

I know that there is nothing written about tastes and that anyone can like anything.
But I don’t understand how someone can say “ah, yes, this Tier is from Paladin and it’s very good”.
When Priest’s Tier has “Paladin” written all over it and is hundreds of times better.

No, the new tier mog is sick. one of the best they have made.

The set in of itself is ok. Draconic theme? ok…bulky plate? great…but we get a gown (old robe/skirt model) with more plate slapped on… thats not bad, but I think ever since a certain unamed 3D artist made a badass rendition of the T2 judgement armor, we’re all itching for a paladin set like that. Then this tier shaman and priests get battle kilts.
I’m dissapointed that unlike the legion Tier1 set, there isnt a non skirt (elite) version (apparently), and furthermore most of the colors dont really match other gear. It’s silver/green/purple or shades of bronze/gold (the later tints dont match old tiers)

Edit: final thoughts…This set stands on its on just fine, but like many paly sets before, the other classes have more interesting sets, which are also oddly, more compatable with their old sets, inviting creativity.

I really dislike the robe theme. I’m a ret pally not a priest. Lol

Im impressed, everything you just said was wrong.

I’m going to have to pray you’re never hired for paladin art design because our tastes are polar opposites.

The Priest one, right ?

Right ?

opinions can’t be wrong? its an asthetic on opinion? literally can’t be wrong.

regardless I like it and glad they made it. I can’t wait to get the elite pvp one. esp since I thought last tier one looked garbo for pala. rock themes just don’t make sense for paladin

I dunno, I think the paladin tier set is actually super good. The only problem is that it suffers because it was released at the same time as the priest tier set and all the paladin mains are understandably a little salty about that. On its own, in a vacuum, the paladin tier looks great.

Paladin tier set is sick, one of my favorite ones from this tier. The heroic version and elite set version are the two best imo, pretty excited to get those. Comparing it to the new world quest set is kind of weird, i don’t think any of the tier sets come close to that aside from the real bad ones like monk/dh and maybe evoker.

Would have vastly preferred legs similar to the druid/shaman/priest sets, our set looks very aggressive and the robe works against that imo. Robe is more of a cleric vibe but the set is more diablo crusader-like which the open leg robe would have worked well with. Overall though it is a really good set

Edit- I also think people saying the priest tier should be paladin tier are just wrong. None of that looks like paladin to me aside from the wings they get and -maybe- the helmet, but that set does not immediately make me think of paladin. I definitely think it was weird to give priests a heavy plate set despite not being plate wearers though, it does come a bit close to the battle healer fantasy hpal has. I wouldnt want that set on my paladin though, especially the gold/white version, i like more muted colors on pally and that set is just so bright i am not a big fan of that.

I don’t think we got the best set but I don’t think we are anywhere near the worst. Paladin historically has had amazing sets, this one reaches my expectations too albeit on the lower end, still think its good.

It’s one of the best sets they’ve made for Pally and I for one love the robe theme (thank T2 for that and other games). I looked at it even further and love the small but cool details it has. BIG fan of the draconic visage it has for a chest piece.

Paladin Tier model is dope, it’s the color scheme that’s awful. The normal and LFR sets are okay, but still the color schemes are dull two tone theme and just doesn’t fit very well with holy / holy-fire theme.

What’s more Paladin than Gold, Red, and White with glows lol

It’s tedious but it’s things like: the saturation levels being really low on the Normal Tier, and the Elite PvP Set being that “Alliance Blue/Silver” even for Horde players.

it’s an overall issue for the tier in this game, but they standardized the colors to a monochrome palette so they can more easily pump out 5 different “tiers.”

Imgur

For example, the left is the Live version, while the right is with the saturation increased by 35%.

I’ve posted this before, but even using more rich colors of gold, white, black, and red can really make the sets “pop.”

I am not fooled.
The quest set, from zaralek caverns, looks much more like a Tier Set than that pale colored “thing”.

The other thing that doesn’t help is that all the armors are tested on humans, where almost 90% of the armors look horrible.

No you’re right.

Now that they’ve separated the chest and pants I’m thinking of using the tier chest and belt with the bloody token recolour of that set.

Personally I love the Paladin Tier, My issue is cause the colouring seems a little washed out it’s impossible to find a solid weapon and shield transmog, I play Holy.

Nothing goes with the more dull gold armour tint.

But I do enjoy the robe, it makes Paladins tier more unique then a run of the mill plate set.
