"Tier list" for SS by Skillcapped

The logic is at fault to a degree but they can always do things to lower the ceiling and floor.
You have to remember that Blizzard is a buisness and probably adjusting things for the majority is the idea.

if you take a look at rbgs, which have 3 healers and 6 dps, its still a 2:1 ratio for dps and healers. the pvp in this game is balanced around that format.

I don’t think it’s that linear or black or white.

Like us pvpers look at specs on a vacuum of everything being awc levels of competitive but honestly they make a m+ sandbox now

They make cool stuff for m+ then groan when they have to make PvP tweaks imo.

PvP balance as I see it boils down to “does this spec have a win condition?” And “do players have time to react to what this spec does?”

And go from there, obviously if theres staggering numbers that prevents a spec from competing they’ll buff rapid fire or disintegrate til it can

I digress tho, devs do try to find a median between skill floor and cap. For Honor comes to mind for this style of balancing

Don’t get me started with that game, reaction times vs knowlage and option selects.

The irony with it though is that if you’re a good player and you fight against someone who isn’t, you will die by assuming they’re better.

Depending on your rating, specs go up and down tiers. Sub rogue for example is really not that great at lower mmrs but in general, this is list is pretty good.

Sub 1200 the person who wins the most rounds is the best and their dps rotation and found a pvp guide to copy a spec.
1200 to 1400 You can mostly do your dps rotation, you found out you have dps CDs, and intermittently remember you have defensive CDs.
1400 to 1600 you can use most of your offensive buttons on a regular basis and figure out its not a good idea to LOS your healer.
1600 to 1800 You realize you have teammates and despite being called solo shuffle you have to do things to help your team… like peel and not los year healer.

1800+ no clue I got what I wanted back to M+

It’s pretty accurate. Once you get around 2k you can definitely feel people who have a skill set for their role, especially the healers.
