Hi,
So let’s talk about what classes are easiest and the hardest to master in pvp?
So far I will list the classes I have played so I will exlude death knight, druid and Shaman
Easiest to hardest
Tier A:
- Havoc DH - (Easiest class for me)
- Ret paladin
- Warrior
Tier B:
4. Warlock
5. Hunter
6. Monk
Tier C:
7. Rogue
8. Mage
9. Shadow priest
What is your tier list?

Elemental is pretty bad in all but like, 3 maps.
Enhancement can hold their own okay.
Was responding to fluffybuns, your list is solid, I’d just switch the lock and hunter, just a swap in positions.
Is the list based off skill ceiling, or floor?
What do you mean with “floor”?
Anyway skill ceiling I guess. The ability to coordinate your toolset in order to defeat your oponent in pvp.
Mage and rogue for me are the hardest because mage needs to kite and be mobile all the time while performing his rotation and rogue because stealth managament and because also it’s quite squishy if you go face to face
I wonder to know how you consider shadow priest easy because as it is as squishy as mage but without its god toolkit
Assassin/Outlaw is not hard to master, Sub is though.
Shadow priest is boring As hell lol
That’s other topic. We are talking about pvp bro not rotation
Oh Whooops… my bad didn’t see it was pvp lol. Let me delete that and retry lol
Skill floor refers to the absolute minimum effort put forth to get basic value.
So, like the skill floor for a Havoc Demon Hunter is relatively low, as well as their ceiling.
An unholy Death Knight could get a lot of value for using Dark Transformation on cooldown and keeping his dots up, making the floor low.
But at the same time, there isn’t much room for the Havoc to do a setup or improve drastically enough to make a huge difference, making the floor relatively close to the ceiling.
But the unholy death knight can set up festermight D&D windows in conjunction with Dark Transformation to let them soar in an AoE situation, making their ceiling considerably further than the Havoc’s, by comparison.
A death knight also has much wider tools at his disposal to peel for healers (CoI, Death Grip, DT Pet Root/interrupt, asphyxiate, petstun, AMZ) than the havoc ever will, which raises their ceiling even more in PvP.

edit: Whoops, put destro a bit too high initially
I’d base mine off the ceilings, which would probably confuse A LOT of people, since for one, Ret is one of the hardest classes to get maximum value due to such a wide range of utility they have and gamesense to know how to use it.
But a rough list would probably be something like, from hardest to easiest;
S Tier
Retribution Paladin
Windwalker Monk
Fire Mage
Subtlety Rogue
Holy Paladin
A Tier
Assassination Rogue
Frost Mage
Unholy Death Knight
Survival Hunter
Restoration Druid
B Tier
Frost Death Knight
Mistweaver Monk
Demonology Warlock
Priest, in general
Elemental Shaman
Destruction Warlock
C Tier
Outlaw Rogue
Arms Warrior
Balance Druid
Enhancement Shaman
Marksmanship Hunter
Feral Druid
D Tier
Fury Warrior
Havoc Demon Hunter
Restoration Shaman
Beastmastery Hunter
Affliction Warlock
Arcane Mage
I think I may have missed a few, and I didn’t include tanks (if you main a tank in PvP, uninstall please).

Wow. Nice one
I would put destro warlock in D tier and Retri Paladin in C tier. They are quite easy IMO.
I think arcane is normal so I would put it in B tier because you need to be keep it moving while doing damage.
I agree in everything else. Thank you for this!

A master ret keeps tabs on the allies along with the enemy team. It’s essentially both the role of a healer and a damage dealer. The difference between a good ret and a bad ret is the good one will deal dps, along with bop/peel/ and off heal their allies.
There comes a lot more management. although the newer expacs have nerfed our support capabilites quite a bit.
