Yea unfortunately the the current tiers suck for feral. On the plus side BWL has some good pieces and AQ is when feral really starts to shine.

What, druid heals are amazing. Where druid heals suck, is it has no way to prevent other healers from sniping your target with faster heals.
Admittedly other healers are better in every single way, but druids are amazing.

Tier sets were created to support player behaviour at the time of release.

Druids are good healers. Phat slow heals are great if you can time them with a shadowflame/mortal strike in BWL. Not to mention innervate and battle rez being very useful if the fight goes sideways and you need some extra healing endurance.
They are pretty bad dungeon healers however, since they have no regular rez if you happen to lose a teammate.

Tonight was my dream come true in BWL. Taut Dragonhide Spaulders, Malf’s Blessed Bulwark, Interlaced Shadow Jerkin, and Draconic Maul all went to me as the only Feral Druid in the raid.

How exactly do I beat every priest and shaman in HPS in my current guild and my last guild too? They all scrub or something?
Every one of them? Druids have amazing HPS just requires some consumes.

Tier sets just cement the behavior, that the game initiated by way of design. Can your class heal? Well, then you probably heal in PvE.

Meh, Druid tanks are doing pretty good even without tier sets. MCP for threat and armor capping in BWL gear is making boss fights easy.
but can it also tank. Dont matter game need more tank .
There aren’t enough tanks because people don’t want to tank, not because tier isn’t tank gear. Making it tank gear isn’t going to magically result in more tanks.
Further, there’s no shortage of tanks in endgame raids, in fact many tanks are pushed to go dps instead. Where you see the shortage is pre-60 and again, tier won’t affect that.

Yes. It isn’t all that amazing, but there are precious few TPS/DPS options if you don’t pick Blackhand’s Breadth. It and Mark of the Chosen are my go-to trinkets for now until I get a DFT. The Gnomish Battlechicken is also better if you get the Squawk to go off (as will the Arcanite Dragonling for when all the Mages go Fire).

I hate to break it to you, but tiers 1 & 2 suck for almost every class.
Mage BiS gear in phase 4 = literally 1 piece of T2. And we only have one role. Itemization was really really bad in vanilla. They didn’t truly get their act together until Naxx.
I enjoy healing 5-mans on my Druid (currently 58), even without the normal rez. If DPS dies, they usually deserve it & the run back. Besides lots of groups have a Ret/Prot Paladin or Shadow Pries in it anyway, who can do the normal rez if needed.
I did my first UBRS run with her at 57 as the secondary healer, & the Paladin main healer was sniping my heals & HoTs quite a bit though. Had a moment during one of the big pulls where the Paladin accidentally used LoH at the start of the fight & depleted all her mana & I had to do pretty much all the healing for the raid group during that pull. It was a bit crazy, but we pulled through without a wipe.
