Tier 3 server gated

Title says it all.

I’m no stranger to slamming my head against RNG grinds for rare, RARE drops.

I’m not against having a massive gold sink involved with acquiring previously removed content.

I’m not against having a work order involved with creating certain materials to incentivize players to engage with the work order system.

I’m against forcing players to transfer to servers with higher population bases in order to find a literal needle in a haystack of players who not only happen to have a FULL SET of the RAREST and LARGEST tier set IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME, but also have the required profession to create said material or happen to check for work orders if they did. Is the intention to get players to abandon their medium to low population servers in favor of high to full pop to increase their chances of fluking their way into someone with the work order?

Since its release, this has been the one REVILED requirement for this feature universally by the player base. The timer on when Blizz is going to fix this started on day 1, and in typical fashion these complaints are likely to fall on deaf ears for months, or it’ll be another uphill expedition against prideful, out-of-touch devs once again. Just adding my drop to the ocean of confusion and detestation towards this.

Simple solution: Remove the plans from the vendor and gate them behind some other kind of in-game challenge or grind. Have them cost 10,000 bargaining chips. Have them cost 1,000,000 gold. I don’t care. Literally anything. ANYTHING. Is better than what is in game right now.

Can’t you trade stuff cross-server now? Just get a friend to help and you can move your stuff anywhere for free.

Actually there is an in game challenge/grind for this.

T3 is still on the BMAH. Buy the pieces, get the achieve, become a crafter. I appreciate that by the time you actually do this, you’ll have your T3 set. But the good news is that you’d likely spend less on it anyway.

“Make this content obtainable again even if its hard to get i dont care!”

“No no not like that ahhh!”

Catering to players like this impossible. It will never ever be enough. Its fine man. The pieces have been on the bmah since mop.

the undeath metal (or whatever armor class) is BoP… also the Phylacterweave is all BOP too…

so if OP already bought the 2.8mil gold worth of phylacterweave on this toon, then OP is locked into making the tier 3 pieces on that specific toon.

go do the icc glory of the raider achieves.

Oh, is it done through crafting order?

you’re thinking sindragosa, wrong dragon. sapphiron is the old bone dragon model

Why do I feel like any concession will never be enough for some players?

Because gating something behind redundancy makes no sense. What purpose is there for someone who already has a full set of T3 to go through the unlock for this vendor in the first place? There’s few enough of them out there, hedging bets on them wanting a frankly ugly mount is a pretty big gamble. And again, doesn’t solve the issue of playing on low pop servers where there may not even be someone who CAN make them.

this whole “new t3 acquisition” is really nothing more than getting allowing people to get their t3 with wow tokens immediately instead of waiting for them to show up on BMAH…

its much more convoluted and requires way more grinding…

but, hey! don’t you worry, because the lamented pieces are all BOE! so you can just head over to your favorite auction house and purchase all of them in one day, then you get the privilege of buying a realm transfer so you can pay a crafter an exorbitant fee for them to craft the t3 for you

the only purpose this new t3 acquisition system serves is to get more people to buy more wow tokens quicker.

imagine what blizzard devs could have done with these resources used to make the t3 crafting system… maybe made a whole new set of armor to be crafted in nax, like maybe a completely remastered version of t3 that is updated with modern graphics, etc…(and the system wouldn’t have to require or force people to buy wow tokens).

It should’ve just been the vendor items and people can then right click and create the pieces themselves.

for how much?

yea but as a ww who wants t3 leather rogue set i cant craft it on my ww

We, as crafters, cannot create T3 sets. We can create the reagent that gets combined with the Lamented pieces, but we cannot create actual T3 pieces. You may have meant the reagents in your message, but I wanted to clarify because I come across this confusion quite often on my realm.

you’re arguing semantics, everyone gets the point

i had the full set on my hunter, but ive been trying for years to get the warrior set. checking daily when able, never able to spend more than a few hundred thousand. outbit by people spending millions. i needed just the shoulders. after about 2-3 weeks of farming across all my alts (12) i can/have crafted all the ice sets for all armor types and learned at least the undeath metal, but i have crafters capable of learning everything else after a few minutes of farming. honestly i enjoyed running through it all, ive considered getting the warlock and rogue sets as well, but it is quite expensive and a time sink. over all i enjoyed getting everything and finally completing the warrior set. the only thing i think was missing was a way to get a sapphiron (note, not sindragosa) mount instead of another horse mount, even if it is a newish undead model.
