Tier 2 transmog set question

Since I play a rogue and my set is total dog, Can I buy the monk set and use it on my rogue? Or is it tied to class still

Im asking because im pretty sure there was a recent change regarding sets where now mages can use warlock gear for example

its locked to that class
there was no changes on that unless you found the look alike mog for it

That is only for the 3 piece transmog sets that will be available on the November Trading Post, and their recolours that were available for purchase during Remix: Pandaria.

No, they said it was dog, and dogs are amazing. <3

TBC dungeons have recolors of all tier 2 and they are not restricted by class.

It’s a shame tho because the wording on the nov trading post article is so off and vague that it kind of implies you can wear other class sets of the right armor type now. I wonder if they worded it that way on purpose to try to push folks to buy all of the T2 sets. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Nah, I think it was worded just fine. The post was about the November Trading Post, nothing else. People wanting it to be about other sets just read what they wanted to read and didn’t think about the context of the post in which it was announced in.

It has to be inferred by the portion of the article it’s in, because nowhere in the wording does it actually say it:

Class restrictions on armor use have been lifted. Players will now be able to purchase these items with any class character to add to your transmog collection. Any class that can wear or use that item transmog appearance type will be able to. So, if you have a mail user, they will be able to wear any mail armor set transmog appearance and if your class can use one-hand maces, you’ll be able to use any of the mace transmogs appearances, etc.

At least when I read this it’s vague enough to imply that all sets have opened up. But Blizz would never do that, would be too beneficial.

Again, given the context of the post it was announced in, it makes sense.

It wasn’t in patch notes, it was in a blue post talking about the Trading Post. If it was going to be an every set thing, it would have been included in patch notes.

Ok. So like. Yes it probably is.

But has anyone else noticed that the class armor from time running and the trading post are available to anyone with that armor type?

Like my demon hunter here can equip the Monk shoulder, helm, and belt. My warrior can use the fist weapons and staves.

I doubt it’s on purpose but it’s hilarious to me.

This is correct.

Yes, this is intentional. Not sure why they were introduced to be class specific only for that to change a year later, but we don’t pretend to understand how Blizzard works here.

Wait wait wait wait wait.

That’s on purpose?!? Idk how I feel about that…

The goofy mogs I can make now >:D
