Tier 2 Recolors and Captain Hooktail mount

So, how are the recolor sets going to be obtain? Do they drop from the emissary or do we get tokens that let us purchase them?

And do we think the Hooktail mount will be a drop or badges mount?

DH set is so bad no recolor can possibly save it lmao

While the gear could use some explanation, the article basically confirms that the Hooktail mount is the big reward from the Turbulent Timeways, same as the bee and shalewing were.

Later during this content cycle, we’ll be bringing back the Greedy Emissary event. During this event you’ll be able to encounter even more of these deviously greedy emissaries in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Dornogal, and Undermine for new diabolical rewards— including a mount. You won’t want to miss some truly iconic rewards including recolors of classic Tier 2 armor sets for your characters.

Master the timeways and you can also earn the new Chrono Corsair skyriding mount… and more.

Let them announce it. You literally read everything we can dude. In time all will tell.

The question in regard to that (which I think OP is asking here) is will they drop items individually as gear, or the entire ensembles, or tokens that we then spend on the items or ensembles?

Which we’ll get an answer to in due time.

The paladin one would be superb if not for the fel-green. Scarlet Crusader T2 would have been amazing

I hope to god this is how it’ll work. Because I stg if I have to deal with RNG for these recolors… I will start throwing Murlocs across the room.

Sounds like the mount will be the next Turbulent achievement mount.

Burnt orange is not my style. I want a purple version.

I’m not really fond of the recolors. Most of them are reddish/orange recolors. Not really a fan. The Druid one at least is kinda autumnal but still. Where is the purple version of the pally set or the gold version of the monk one?

All this game is now is a collection simulator lmfao

Ugh, I specifically made alts to wear the DK and monk set. Looks like I’m restoring another DK and monk once this goes live.

Yeah I don’t know why they went with the green gems. But I like the black and red colors. Perfect for a Blood Knight.

Because Blood Knights and MHP are the only paladins Blizzard cares about. /sigh

Don’t forget mages. How many mage tier sets have the silvermoon Phoenix crest on them? This t2 recolor looking real magistery to me.

Also looking much better, but not the point.

Most of them are updated versions of the tbc recolors, aside from the Paladin one obviously which was the purple version, and the warrior one I think is different.

The warrior one looks good but that Paladin recolor, yikes. They should really go with an update to the purple version.

Purple would be pretty samey with the current Arathi plate void recolor they pushed out with Nightfall tho

This patch is looking beefy. Please don’t timegate it Blizz. I could see myself getting that Pally set and mix and matching with the Blood Knight set. I like the Warrior and Hunter set recolors too. And I wanted that pirate dragon as a mount for a while now.

More recolors coming up.

The monk one looks nice.

I’ll be honest, if the story didn’t thrust one in front of me, I would forget that Tauren Paladins or Zandalari Paladins exist.

It is weird, I am usually a fan of recolors, but these haven’t caught my eye except for the Dragonstalker set. The gold theme is pretty nice.

Edit: these are different than what I saw earlier. Odd. The paladin one reminds me of the partial Undying set or Undead slayer set that dropped during the BC and WOTLK pre events.
