Honest question guys, are any of your guilds even running MC anymore, especially with phase 6 launched? Next question, are you seeing any MC pugs still in LFG channel?
Other than one warrior tank in my guild who wants to do a quick binding run still (in and out), I’m not really seeing any interest in MC anymore.
I’m curious if it would be a good idea with phase 6 release if they just added Tier 1 token items to real vendor, in addition to things like priest/rogue/hunter quest item for their weapons.
As for bindings and eye of S…no clue there. If guilds/specific people wants those, can still try to host a pug I guess, unless they just increased the real cap limit and make those cost a ton of reals you’d have to farm for like two weeks or more to reach…
The main reason I bring this up, if people have untouched under gear 60 alts or those they still want to level up in SoD and can’t find guilds/pugs doing the earlier raid content and they feel like their only option is ZG/AQ10 gear (and hope they get invited with fresh gear), I just feel like tier 1 gear would go to waste as another option for them as another go between.
I’m probably overlooking some other factors, just curious what others think. Also, remember that this is a seasonal server, which means we don’t really have much fresh people coming in to keep lower raid content alive.
Not seeing any MC pugs , I guess rank 13 is the expected way to catch up gear.
There are a bunch of H1 and H2 MC’s tonight (right now as a matter of fact) on horde side.
Sadly I find what MC pugs there are, you’ll get a handful of guildies to help you out, then forced to pug, of those half of them don’t know the mechanics. Kinda hard when your priest never dispels, or half your raid refuses to run out for Geddon bomb.
i wouldn’t mind this tbh.
I recently asked Zirene if there was any universe where we could see Nef items being added to reels vendor (for a hefty price). I’ll be honest I am sick of bwl and seen a total of 1 prestor’s (which i didnt win) in the entire phase, at this point I’ve seen 1 more which I also didn’t win and lost to a pug and I’d rather put fate into my own hands and farm dungeons for a week than do anymore BWLs.
(i got no reply but who knows, maybe he’ll read it, like it and consider suggesting it to the devs)
Yeah. Honestly MC aside, BWL is already rough in getting enough interest in doing since phase 6 launch. I get that it’s the holiday/travel season in the USA, but if it remains the same past New Years with less people logging on / raid interest, I’m very concerned that SoD playerbase will quickly collapse with how few are left since we didn’t really see a big spike in people returning when MC/BWL phases happened since the sharp decline in phase 3 disaster.
Although I get that asking earlier tier tokens to being available from a real vendor will probably further decrease the chance of any pug/guilds doing those raids, I’m not sure what other solutions there are besides maybe nerfing those raids to make them even easier to do with undergear people (of course, if they still don’t handle mechanics like handling debuffs, it’s their fault for wiping).
Going back to the playerbase topic, if most guilds can’t clear twins in AQ temple like how it was in classic, the collapse in playerbase will probably happen towards the end of December and mostly in January. Since this is a seasonal server with a normal mode and hardmode, they should just nerf the normal mode enough so that MOST guilds can clear all of AQ temple and Naxx content. Yes, consumes should be required to make it smooth still as they should be a bit harder, but if most casual guilds can’t do aq temple / naxx, and there’s no one doing the earlier raids like MC / BWL, what are casuals going to do at that point? They will leave the game and only a few top guilds will be left playing that need to support themselves and find the auction house barren of consumes.
