I asked for a refund for Midnight. I received this answer: “Greetings,
This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies ( https://blizzard.com/support/article/42673 ), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all of our players.” That article has nothing to do with what I asked and when I try to reopen the ticket it just says resolved. Could someone please tell me if this has happened to them and any suggestions on what to do next? Thanks for any help.
Have you opened a refund request under the right category? If not, you may receive a wrong template.
Typically for refunds you can first check out the self-refund window to see if you’re eligible and if not proceed immediately to create a ticket with the button below that.

This.
I see two recent tickets. The first was under refunds that was abandoned.
The second was under Appeals, which is likely why you got that template in error.
Thank you. I put the request in yesterday but I reopened today. I don’t remember abandoning any but my mind is not what it once was. Thank you for your help. Actually, I’m not sure if the refund was approved or denied. It just says “this action has been taken”.
It sounds like you abandoned the refund request. You should be able to check your credit card to see if a refund has been processed, but I suspect it hasn’t due to the ticket going to the wrong location.
You probably will want to submit a new ticket to the correct location.
I checked and it’s under “request for refund”. I don’t understand where the “abandoned” came from and Orlyia says there is one under “appeals” so I guess that happened when I hit “reopen ticket”. The thing that mostly confuses me is the answer I got says “this action has been taken” but never mentions the action. I’m pretty lost with this one and I don’t want to open another ticket and confuse things even more.
They mostly use templates for efficiency, and on appeals they generally never go into details and the template tends to be very general. They also get tickets from people with multiple accounts, so when they get a ticket in the wrong bucket, they often send out a general response like what you got.
Unless you have reason to appeal, simply ignore that response, and make sure you have an open ticket for your refund request.
Thank you to everyone who responded here. I’m just going to drop it and see what happens. If the refund goes through it will be nice but if not I’ll just forget about it. It won’t be the first game I’ve bought and regretted but it’s not that big a deal. I do appreciate everyone who took the time to post here. Happy gaming!
It sounds like it won’t go through on its own, since the category you chose was for an account appeal and not a refund ticket.
You can try one more time using the below link, should get you directly to the Refund ticket creator.

Hope this one goes through without hiccups for you.
Thank you! I guess I’ll give it another shot after all. Thanks for the link.
