Play on a real computer and you won’t have problems.

The minimum for Shadowlands is 4GB of RAM, or 8 if you’re using integrated graphics with 8GB being the recommended.

That said I’m not sure what else you were expecting. Technology moves on, and 6 years is up there in age especially for a machine that wasn’t top of the line when you bought it.

Who plays any game on a Mac?

What does that have to do with having a Mac?

No one does

Macs aren’t for gaming. Never have been, never will be.

Well in the late 80s early 90s they were ok. Back when you played Oregon Trail on the 5.5 inch floppy disks.

How are you playing now? My wife has a 4 year old imac w/ 8gigs of ram, an ssd and a decent video card and it is like a fringe event.

I can log in, take a shower and make a pot of coffee before the zone fully loads.

Everyone’s known this about Macs

The finger was there before you chose to sit on it

Not to be the downer here, but that sounds like a you issue to me. Technology advances, requirements go up year after year. That’s how it’s always worked, it’s not going to stop just because you decide not to upgrade.

You can get a gaming PC dirt cheap these days. An SSD 1 terabyte drives are dirt cheap. There’s no excuse.

Those old Infocom text adventure games like Zork work pretty good on a mac.

Like most apple products you payed way more than you should for what you got.

That escalated.

Lots of the DiY computers people make run better than the vast majority of pre-builts. Especially back in that time.

Pre-builts have only recently been above average and they still give you the lowest binning parts possible in their builds and you end up paying more.

the point is, you made my mac obsolete, it is not obsolete even by mac standards. yep still running Catalina, thx. just you know crap windows users with minimal unix experience or any idea how to operate a command line are gonna say oh its out dated. bruh i bought this game in 2006 to play on minimum spec computers. not be l337 ray tracing shadows gamers 1112332!

It’s not a game from 2006. It’s currently 2020 and Shadowlands isn’t out now.

If you want to insult other people’s finances, then maybe you should stop being so poor and just buy a new Macbook.

You have the mindset of a poorly run company executive with no experience with IT who thinks that the Commodore 64s he paid so much money for 40 years ago means they should work just as well today. The only correct response to you is “Ok, boomer.”

I would bind spells to “Swipe left with 2 fingers”

idgaf if its obsolete for performance. its still on the update list for mac, whatever. why spree on fancy new graphics and performance upgrades to a 14 yr old game bro. the game was DESIGNED with minimum specs in mind so EVERYONE could play. did you all forget that? or you probably were like 4 when it came out.
