Hi I am a outlaw rogue. I earned the Thunderfury skin. Why does it no longer go across my back? For what reason was this change snuck in?
Kindly restore it and quit doing this weird tricky underhanded junk… that’s MY JOB I’m the rogue here!

Did someone say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker?
I wonder if your spec has something to do with it? And did someone say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker?
Yes someone did…but sadly it’s not in the funny “haha” we can all have a laugh about it trolling manner.
This is sadly serious. Blizzard changed junk they shouldn’t have even touched YET AGAIN!
I’m Outlaw, I am the right spec to wear these swords, they are my legendary weapon appearance.
Last time I checked (early this week) it still went on my rogues back.
I’m speaking of the hidden appearance of course. I don’t believe the real one ever went on the back.
Mine does. I don’t know if that’s how it originally was though.
I could be wrong but I remember the original being on the hip. Good questions here.
ok NM is weirdly only in all dressing room windows that happens for. When I actually MOG them there is not problem.
Sorry for the confusion on my part.
Now we can make this into a fun thread.
Nope – back.
Fork you and making me remember the good ole days for me sitting in Org/2 chat during WoTLK pre LFD…oh my nostalgia trip
The name was Knickerbockr I was an Orc protection warrior clearing through ICC 10m with the guild I was in “Volatile”
You did this to me
Is this what we are talking about?
they are daggers now and rogues wear daggers on hips.
Just to comment on this, it’s a little quirk of the artifact system in the dressing room preview.
For all artifact appearances, the “sheath” location will be shown as that of the base weapon model for your character in the Dressing Room regardless of how the actual appearance works. In the case of Outlaw Rogues, the base model is normally on the hips; the Thunderfury appearance goes on the back like the original sword, different from the default for Outlaw Rogues.
VERY few artifacts change sheath location depending on appearance, but the same bug in the Dressing Room occurs. Another example is the Prot Warrior artifact, the base sword sheaths on the back… but quite a few of the different appearances don’t (base, upgraded, and PvP appearances do go on the back, Balance of Power, Hidden, and Mage Tower don’t). So we get some shenanigans in the Dressing Room there too, though most think it amusing because sheathing on the back generally looks better (weapon is more visible to the player).
… I’m actually not sure if any other artifacts run into this, to tell the truth.
The thunderfury appearance is rogue based off dagger weapons, so they go on hip naturally. They aren’t officially “swords” like the original thunderfurys were.
