Well… Not really because I still need 10 enchanted elementium bars… And at 15k gold a piece there is no way I can afford it.
And to craft them… a 48-hour cooldown?! Are you serious! It took me the best of 2 years to get both halves from the molten core. Now I have to wait 20 more days for a cool down… Ridiculous.
Is there anything I’m missing? any secret method I don’t know of or do I really have to wait an extra 20 days to craft 10 bars?
Why weren’t you stocking up on all the mats these past 2 years if you knew you were going for the sword?
Ran molten core on multiple toons. Just so happened I got it on the one toon that didn’t have all the mats; on this realm.
I could only buy so much expensive crap on only so many characters…

From what I’ve read each time you cast it there’s a 48-hour cooldown.
48 hours = 2 days
2 days x 10 bars = 20 days
There’s no CD on enchanted elementium or arcanite. You are gonna need a alchemist to make the arcanite bars and then you can turn those into enchanted elementium on a blacksmith.
I thought you were saying there was some kind of wait period to turn in the quest.

You’re saying I need to transmute/enchant the standard bars I have?
You’re actually going to need a whole heap of Arcanite bars (I think 50 total), Elemenium Ore from BWL goblin mobs, and some elemental flux (a weird vendor mat that was only useful for this specific recipe, at least for the longest time). The recipe itself is a rare(?) drop off a named goblin in BWL, and is for mining I think.
I think there were originally called “Elementium Bars”, but it was changed to “Enchanted Elementium Bars” when… well, actually “elementium” was added to the game during Cata.
You are correct. Also, you need those for Sulfuras. Did that all myself last year. Took until December to get that Eye from Rag. Those bindings were annoying, kept dropping on multiple characters that could not use it.

It’s actually 48 hour cd to make the arcanite bars and you need to make 100 of those, The elementium bars take 10 arcanite bars and only take a few minutes to make.
If you have 10 elementium bars then you are good to go. If you need to make the elementium bars you need to get as priest friend to mind control a goblin at end of BWL and teach a miner how to smelt the bars

I did it in classic. I just bought people’s transmutes, also levelled alchemy on 4 characters
Find 20 alchemists, pay them some gold for their CDs, bob’s your uncle! 
In retail there is NO cooldown. I created several arcanite bars and then enchanted elementium bars in one go.

Here’s what you need:
10x Enchanted Elementium (created by a blacksmith)
Each Enchanted Elementium requires:
1xElementium Ingot (dropped in BWL)
10xArcanite Bars (need alchemist to transmute 1xArcane Crystal + 1xThorium Bar - get an alchemist who specialized in transmutations and they will likely get multiple bars per transmute - most transmutes will be 1 bar, but some will be 2, I even had a bunch that were 5)
1xFiery Core (droped in MC)
3xElemental Flux (BS vendor)
Again, there is NO cooldown on any of these mats in retail. I don’t know about classic.
