Thunder Bluff Elevators,

How do they work?!?!

Wind.

It’s a very complicated system involving methane gusts, lots of grass and plenty of Tauren.

Powered by methane.

They go up, and then they go down.

It’s magic how they do that! :sunglasses:

They’re pretty normal. The ropes are just painted out in post.

Taurens are low key most intelligent race, they’re just too humble

I don’t think I understand it either. Maybe it’s just a larger shaman totem?

edit: Placed in these locations by larger tauren.

I wish askCDev was still a thing. Metzen knows.

Clearly they’re powered by the almighty, yet variably vulnerable, suspension of disbelief; which in this case is a tangible but invisible object, which manipulates the height of the lifts like the hand of god.

One day when the last player who cared about Warcraft’s lore and story finally gives up, the lifts will cease to function; another omen of Blizzhena, the end of all things (in WoW).

Smoke and mirrors.

my guess is because of their race and tie to shamanism lore wise they use wind to make it go up and down. kinda like how you have mages in the portal rooms casting to keep the portals open or like how the dalaran mages used magic to lift the city into the sky or something like that and i believe lore wise there was always mages casting to keep it floating?

sadly here you don’t see it so we just gonna assume it’s air elementals. kinda like the Panadaren starting zone had the water elemental tossing us in the air type thing

I was expecting an elevator boss thread and i’m disappointed it isnt so i’m just going to remind readers that shattrah elevators are jerks

Thunder Bluff elevators are powered by the Earth Mother. Duh!

Clearly this should be Blizznarok. (or Ragnablizz?)
